Thanks for getting in touch with your feedback.
The global chat will add players once they've progressed though to the main menu. This is currently working as intended.
I've passed your insight on to the team for consideration as they continue to improve the way that global chat works.
Thank you,
BenTeam17
I also think it's kinda silly that if we want to host a game, we have to exit out of the chat and click 'host game,' host a game, and then set it to public. The menus are overdone. There should be single player, local multiplayer, LAN, and online multiplayer. Once you click on online multiplayer it should take you straight to the global chat and players should be able to do everything directly from that chat, just as with WormNET. People should be able to queue up a ranked match, host, see games hosted, etc. The way it is all set up now is unnecessarily complex and in fact inferior to what ALREADY EXISTS! (WormNET) We don't need a separate options like "quick join" or whatever (it's pointless), or a separate area for ranked stuff. Everything pertaining to online gameplay should be together.
Other ideas:
-time stamps for messages (this would be very beneficial with the low player count)
-show our names with our messages instead of "you"
Thanks for all of this.
There's been a new update to the game that made some changes to chat.
For more info, please check out the new page.
Thank you,
