An armageddon fan^^ lol
I just don't see the point of comparing the games' graphics. Armagedon is a game from 1999, of course it won't look as good as WMD.
Lots of people play the game for the strategy, and I gotta say this game needs more balance to the competitive schemes, but I also gotta say that the casual part is really good.
When I (and others) complain about crafting, it is not because we are unable to adapt to a new way of playing, it is because there are legitimate reasons as to why it isn't good for the overall gameplay.
I've been playing Worms for a very long time now and I have seen all kinds of new features added, as well as many bugs and patches. Crafting is by far one of the worst things to ever be introduced to a Worms title because it makes the game so random. A classic part of Worms gameplay has been conserving your items, sometimes over several matches. (With the 'stockpiling' option.) Instead of jetpacking/roping nearly every turn and using your most powerful weapons available, you had to actually THINK. You had to get good at long-term strategy and long-range shotmaking rather than just going balls-out, 100% aggressive from the very start. This type of gameplay made people fans of the series.
In WMD you can never possibly know what your opponent has, so you cannot strategize against it. If you have high ground and your opponent has already used their jetpack, they can just craft another one or make a balloon. Crafting allows people to bypass their weaknesses as a player by letting them cheese up a terrible meta and have access to weapons and utilities they normally wouldn't have.
The drone is a crappy addition to the game as well because it lets people collect multiple crates on one turn without having to leave their safe space, without having to use any movement utilities like ropes or jetpacks, without leaving their self open, and it comes at basically zero risk because as long as you don't get too close to a sentry, it's dead easy. The crates grabbed could easily be game winners, or at the very least provide materials for game-winning items, like jetpacks, etc. It is just another new addition to the game that makes it very, very easy for newbies. The drone is the only aspect of the Liberation update that I hate. You even get to continue your turn after you're done using the drone. It is so broken and silly that I quite honestly have to wonder what Team17 were smoking when they decided to implement it.
Crafting doesn't make you think at all. It doesn't add any strategy to the game - it takes away from the strategy. Would you say that WMD is a more strategic game than Clan Wars/Battlegrounds? Of course it isn't, and crafting, drones, vehicles, tons of OP weapons, lack of water, lack of worm classes, and lack of physics objects is the reason why.
Don't get me wrong, I think WMD is decent on the whole, but only with crafting and vehicles disabled. Otherwise it's a noobfest. Crafting in ranked is especially ridiculous.
He's totally obsessed to crafting rather than gameplay
I like pie
You've rated WA to 2/10 bcuz for it's graphics. WMD graphics will be outdated in the future and you'll rate 2/10 on this title.
♥♥♥♥ me
The themes (like Liberation), however, are. But it's only themes.
Extending the comment of weapon removal by this playa:
And remove Bazooka and Grenades too cuz they're too common, also Shotgun, Uzi, Dynamite, Mine, Fire Punch, and all weapons. Make the worms armless!
(this is the hardest sarcasm I've ever wrote)
