Just desactivate auto open... *shrug*
Make Cold down visual timer like with Grenade OR Turn Off Auto Open ! a Children can understand that.
There's a big difference between holding a key and pressing it twice. Unless you have some physical issue, it's close to impossible to hit the spacebar twice in rapid succession unless you meant to.
Also, giving the option wouldn't have affect you at all, don't act like your world would be turned upside down.
Either you quoted the wrong person or you have no reading comprehension. We're on the same page; I was commenting on skunk's BS reason against having that option. Accidental double key press, like, dafuq.
By the way, you have options to delay the parachute. That usage only applies to long falls where you are assured to be way past the automatic opening so it doesn't fix the exact issue you have, but in case you can get some use out of it I'll list these and demonstrate it in a short clip.

Option 1:
Option 2:
Again, this doesn't fix the issue with pressing Fire a little too late after the Parachute opened automatically, but if you know your drop will automatically open the Chute before you actually want it to open then it's definitely something to look into.
This game, while much better than any other Worms title (yes, that's my opinion), still uses way too many things from the past.
Chat, hotkeys are the main issues. Why not have a dedicated hotkey for each weapon? We could bind them as we please.
Edit: Correct me if I'm wrong, but in WWP, you could move while having the inventory open.
This is a result of console porting and directions acting as "menu keys". An option to disable this would also be welcome.
And third thing: When you're moving, on a chute, chopper, balloon, and a mine explodes, it breaks your input and you have to repress the key. This actually cost me a game, there's no reason for that at all.
Edit2: The lack of input while the menu is open is especially painful while trying to use a dynamite or other things while parachuting against the wind. Again, the use of keys is good, but not 100% reliable. Dedicated binds would fix this completely.
No it's really not, I've been doing this since the beginning of this game. Technically since the 3D games since some of them also allowed you to open the parachute from the menu.
I have to add that I don't have the issue with the cursor not being visible, but I usually go with the hotkey technique anyway.
I'd be down for that. I've kind of been spoiled by Source games and their scripting that allows you to rebind anything to everything exactly as you want.
Pretty sure you're wrong there.
I think this has been discussed a lot in the report forums. It's definitely a big and unnecessary issue that better be fixed sooner rather than later.
F9 by default. Similar to F2 you have to know how many items you have that come before the Combat Parachute in your inventory. If the Combat Parachute is the only item you crafted then all you have to do is not have it selected, jump, and press F9 as soon as you want it to open.
