General Description
Good old days' FPS action-oriented game. It is a pure shooter where tactics are basic and what it counts is to eradicate enemy resistance.

Campaigns
There are 3 campaigns: Somalia, Colombia and Iran.

Protagonist
Most of the time you'll play as a Delta Force operator with a decent destructive arsenal at his disposal (e.g.M16 (with M203 attached), CAR15, G36C, M21, M40, Barrett .50 Cal, AT4, M1911, M249, M60, and so on).

Enemies
Enemies are not well-trained so the AI has been designed to be "stupid" in order to simulate untrained troops. Most of the enemies are thugs and bandits with the exception of the Iranian rebel army. Their weapons are mostly AK47s, .50 Cals, and even Miniguns and mortars sometimes. Enemy vehicles consist of technicals with .50 cals (or recoiless guns) mounted on their back, trucks and in one instance a Little Bird with MGs.

Some Gameplay Issues
No realistic ballistics, no weapon sway, no stamina.

Levels
Blackhawk insertions make you feel badass and the majority of the levels begins like that. There are various objectives in each mission: capture an enemy VIP, defend a building, S&D.

To me the Delta Force game's have always been a big part of my gaming life. It was the first FPS I played on PC and even though there are more choices out now then there was back then I still choose to play this game because it's just one of those games that once you get hooked you'll always come back for more.

One of the best games ever made, i started Modding on this game so many memories worth a try!.

My first ever tactical game i ever played, help me bad times in my childhood become better from my old crap PC, i will never forget you, i am hoping i will have enough strength to do a Remake of your missions in Arma 3, maybe not all of they but at least enough that i could feel grateful.

My childhood game I love this :D. Classic feeling FPS game. Although not as outstanding as Halo or Half-Life series games, still the old memory. Recommend for players who like classic quick death FPS game(Few shoots would get player or enemy kill.).

Not recommend for players who like an assortment types of enemy that players would only encounter ten loads of militias with AK-47 and RPG(and several crocodiles).

Wow playing this game brings back so many wonderful memories in days of yore when my life was simple and graphics were simpler. Defenintly a great game for nostalgia gamers like me.

Delta Force: Black Hawk Down offers an extensive first-person-shooter experience spanning approximately 10-12 hours. Despite the strengths of the PC version, my personal preference leans strongly towards the PlayStation 2 release, which I played for countless hours.

The game also implements realistic damage models, emphasizing the importance of cover and strategic positioning. However, occasional AI pathfinding issues and scripted events can break immersion. Despite its many strengths, Black Hawk Down is not without its flaws. Some mission objectives can feel repetitive, and the overall campaign length may leave players wanting more. The lack of a comprehensive tutorial may be challenging for newcomers, requiring them to adapt quickly to the game's mechanics. This game is the best Delta Force has probably ever been gameplay-wise.

The weapon sounds are authentic, delivering a satisfying punch that immerses players in the chaos of battle. Environmental sounds, such as distant gunfire and explosions, contribute to the overall ambiance, enhancing the sense of realism. The voice acting, however, can be hit or miss, with some characters delivering their lines convincingly while others may sound a bit stiff. Despite this, the overall sound quality enhances the gaming experience and adds to the game's immersive qualities.

The game's musical score is subtle but effective, complementing the on-screen action without overpowering it. The soundtrack consists of atmospheric and tension-building compositions that intensify during crucial moments. For me, the music pieces are memorable and enhance the mood. The absence of a standout theme might be a missed opportunity, but the subdued musical approach aligns well with the game's realistic and gritty tone.

The animations serve their purpose, providing a realistic portrayal of military movements and combat scenarios. The character animations, especially during intense firefights, convey a sense of urgency and tension. However, there are moments when the animations feel slightly dated, lacking the fluidity and attention to detail seen in other titles at the time. Despite this, the animations effectively contribute to the overall immersion, making the gaming experience engaging and believable.

One of the standout features is its authentic representation of the military operations during that period. From the chaotic streets of Mogadishu to the deserted landscapes, the attention to detail is admirable, providing a realistic and gritty setting for the unfolding events. The missions are well-crafted and varied, showcasing the versatility of the Delta Force operatives. Players find themselves in high-stakes hostage rescues, intense urban combat, and stealthy surveillance missions. The game successfully balances action and strategy, requiring players to think tactically and make split-second decisions to survive the unforgiving battlefield.

While the game occasionally exhibits choppiness, even with frame rates exceeding 300, I discovered that setting a frame rate cap at 180FPS resolves the stability issues. The game experiences severe fluctuations, and running the game with unlocked FPS feels inconsistent, creating a perception of stuttering, although it's not actually showing on the performance analysis tools. If you encounter such problems, applying a frame rate lock at 180 FPS ensures a consistently smooth gameplay experience.

Other than this, I experienced an occasional crash or two. Also, the game plays only in 4:3 aspect ratio resolutions and supports odd resolutions like 1920x1440. The game's anti-aliasing seems unavailable, but it's not a considerable drawback, assuming that a higher 4:3 resolution cleans up most of the jagged edges. The lack of vsync support makes for a less smooth gameplay experience infested with screen tearing, and forcing vsync in the Nvidia control panel introduces freezing and frame time inconsistencies.

Since Delta Force Black Hawk Down has been delisted from steam that means you can't purchase Team Sabre either and both games now suffer the same fate. This is probably because of the new "Delta Force" game called Hawk Ops which will most likely be a futuristic cash grab that nobody wants and will fail miserably that's why they delisted these two games so new players are forced to buy their trash

i played dfbhd back in 2009-2010, this is the best game out there with so much history, found it here on steam it feels so good to be back on it once again, for those who dont know this game, there is a movie out you should see , "black hawk down" example of this game is a little like battlefield and ARMA, dfbhd was also game of the year in 2004. if you dont believe me that this game is so good, trust me buy it and see the servers. the servers are still running hott even in 2016, good amount of people still on, ever since 2003, now thats a sign of a good game. dfbhd has thousands of maps, in novalogic HQ you can download some of them aswell. why thousands of maps? because this game comes with a easy to use map editer where you can also place your own bot players, make your own mission or try your own map in the mutiplayer. Delta Force Gave me many good memorys i thank god i found it agian, make your own good memorys today and buy this game.
