CD key off of my disc

Hey , I'm doing a lot of cleaning and I'm going through my game discs and cannot add this cd key.Can I redeem this on Steam? Is there something I'm doing wrong? Thanks

8 years late, but found this when researching the delisting - the retailer version unfortunately cannot be redeemed on Steam.

I tried but it wouldn't work unfortunately. I still have the disc and key on the case somewhere and i can try again but it will have to be later as it's in a box buried in my closet.

I'm guessing it didn't work for you either? I like to redeem these keys because some of my discs have degraded over time or cracked.

Yea you have the disc version its not redeemable through steam unfortunately

Tried the Digital Version from Novalogic FTP? Doesn't use steam, installs same location as CD
