Black Pine: Incident Response

Aussie's Initial trial
I want to start off with saying that by no means am I a tech wiz or pro gamer so this is all just opinion and possibly lack of basic knowledge haha.

Oompa's documentary was like super glue for my attention span, seeing the passion he and everyone else have over this game that it was absolutely contagious.
I immediately wish listed the game as it really sparked my attention from the love I've had over the years for Phasmaphobia and recently into other games in the same spooky, co-op, fun, and cool story categories.

Initially the game was stuck on the loading screen with no eta when it would load so I'm not sure if there was a little glitch for a couple minutes or maybe I was just being impatient.
Once i found my way into a solo match to test it out I found it was rather laggy (I have NBN fibre to the premise which in Australia is pretty much as good as it gets and works great with other online co-op games).
There was also some issues with selecting objects as it wasn't registering when i clicked and knowing which buttons do what.
I attempted to run around and do my tasks which was fun and some of the items you could pick up were pretty cool!
My game did freeze so i had to close it by going to my desktop and restarted the game which helped it run considerably smoother with less lag issues and I was able to get down the ladder this time, though when i was messing around with a puzzle I started hearing noises so I tried to exit the puzzle and was having some issues then my screen was black with the red border indicating i was in danger or being attacked so i tried getting my torch out and had issues where all my inventory and items on hand list disappeared.
It was frozen and then after a little loaded and I was able to get my torch out and start running though I couldn't see what attacked me before i died in the room above the ladder.
There wasn't really any background noises when i restarted the game and switched from my headset to my computer speakers either even after checking my computer and game options, but that could be me not checking something else.

This game has an incredible design and idea that despite the couple hiccups I really want to keep playing and get more mates involved (so far I have 1 friend has also downloaded it and given it a run) and I can't wait to encourage more.
Like any Demo it's there so upgrades can be made.
I really enjoyed another reading another discussion on here that shared the same excitement for the game as well as offered some great positive feedback and ideas!.

I think a visible or audible way to measure fear is a great idea as well as maybe more on screen prompts on what to do or objectives could assist (always good to be more helpful and some people like the options to review tasks or opt for a hint on objectives (as an example Phasmaphobia has a journal option that I'd really recommend checking out as it could give you some ideas).

I'd also like to add one time I was loading up into the van and as it was zooming in I could see the van rocking and shaking with some growling so when I became my character the van was still shaking making it super difficult to read the messages or click on items to load up then it froze - Wish i recorded it as it was pretty funny to load it to what I believe was a spontaneous attack haha

It was only a quick play and I will continue to jump on when I can because I thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait for when it's released

How long did it sit on the load screen for? Mines been there for 5 mins and that seems quite excessive for a game this size on an SSD

Only like a minute or two, I'll be jumping on shortly to test it out again.
