A friend and I played through the demo 5 or 6 times this morning. We made more and more progress each playthrough. I really enjoyed that part of the game. We died but had a new plan each time and each time it felt like we got closer and closer. There was some frustrating situations though.

Particularly, on our third time through, we agreed to head back to the RV and lockdown before the time was up. We made it and the RV began to shake after. My friend was taking mysterious damage while I suddenly was unable to move. My mouse worked but not my movement. He kept asking what to do and since he wasn't being hit by anything I assumed he was starving (lol minecraft?) but he could not eat. I wanted to interact or help so bad but was very mad that I had to just sit there and watch him die. We both had to hard exit the game.

The fourth play through we got a "mission complete" quickly followed by what I believe was the next part of the storyline. We had no idea what to do and were out of time so we ran back and locked down again and this time it faded to black and said "thanks for playing." So did we win? It didn't feel like it. It didn't say we were dead or that we failed, but didn't pay us or reward us at all.

After some discussion and more exploring we got farther into the story so I know that we didn't win on our fourth play through, but more details as to where we went wrong, what we could have done, a hint, maybe a small reward to motivate another try... something other than confusion would have been great. The third play through I think was a bug. The last time we played I was running blindly into the woods with the alien baby egg thing and tripping balls while my homie was getting gassed in the basement. Super cool. I really enjoyed our mutual panic.

The flashlight going off when you have to do any task is obnoxious. I think it being a helmet light or something constant would be more practical.

Got a big lol when my friend killed himself on the electrical breaker (2nd play). Little things like that are great. He looked so floppy and defeated.

So yeah- I'm grateful it's not a hand-holder, but lacks important information in the end of each play and probably needs some mechanics tweaked and some bugs squashed. Overall we are both big fans of Oomp and think it's awesome he's doing this. Hope this is helpful.
