Delta Force: Xtreme

Delta Force: Xtreme

Why are the highest graphical options greyed out?
In the graphical options "highest" is greyed out.

It also has a pitiful resolution.

There are a few hidden resolutions that you can enable in game.cfg, located in the game's root directory. As for the "Highest" settings being unselectable, I'm curious about that myself.
Thanks.

Yes, it seems almost every Delta Force game has weird settings, not just the graphics but in how save systems work.

the option that are greyed out you go into the config file and raise the value between 1-4 which will make this option available. i have a few times done this and i will do a short how to video over the next day or 2 with a link to it.

you can go all the way up to and past 1080P if you want to.

Go to where the game is installed and look for the file called "game" its a .cfg file so can be opened in notepad and change these lines:
hw3d_res1920x1080 = 0 -to the same thing, but with a 1 in place of the 0
------------------------------- \/
hw3d_res1920x1080 = 1 -like this. this will activate the resolution its next to

then its a case of just choosing it in the settings screen.

This is a copy & paste from the file i am using, i did this before even starting the game so im sure that whatever has a 1 at the end can be chosen...

// DISPLAY
windowed = 0
hw3d_deviceno = 0
hw3d_name = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti"
hw3d_guid = "D7B71E3E-5FC2-11CF-63538F3C1BC2DB35"
hw3d_res640x480 = 0
hw3d_res800x600 = 0
hw3d_res1024x768 = 0
hw3d_res1280x720 = 1
hw3d_res1280x768 = 1
hw3d_res1280x960 = 1
hw3d_res1280x1024 = 1
hw3d_res1600x1200 = 1
hw3d_res1920x1080 = 1
hw3d_res1920x1440 = 0
hw3d_res2048x1536 = 0

And by changing the below settings from 2 to 3 will make them no longer greyed out.
object_polydetail = 3
object_texdetail =3
