What does the censoring even look like?

So I've heard the censoring in this game is absurd. No one has told me what those censorings look like, so what do they look like?

Some things are just not there. Other things are changed text wise, and nudity is covered up.

To be more exact - ~15% of the text and ~50% of the pictures were removed, girls go into the bathtup covered in towels, the word "boobs" was replaced with "eyes" regardless of the context, kissing scenes were altered so that they won't show touching lips, all references to anything even remotely sexual were replaced with something random - that includes one entire route, where main plot just happened to be focused on characters' relationship progressing from sex-friends to proper lovers. It can rival 4Kids localizations.

This story probably could work as a reasonably censored 17+ version, but not as a ridiculously axed (and mistranslated) 12+ one.

Well I bought this game a couple weeks ago. Is there a way to uncensor this game or am I out of luck?

You can get the H-Content back, but it doesn't fix the translation, except in the originally "censored" parts. There is a patch all over the place and linked to in the Community Guides section.

The censoring actually isn't that bad on the Kotori route... though there are a few places where it makes things not make sense. For example, there's a scene where in the original, someone is wearing a towel, whereas in the new, she's not. The text is edited in one place to reflect that, but it isn't in another, which just made me laugh.

Honestly, I feel like the censoring in this game is "so bad it's good". Kind of hilarious. But yeah, install that restoration patch.

EDIT: Actually, what's really hilarious isn't so much the visual and story censoring done in the Moenovel version, as the occasional audio censoring in the original. I don't think I've ever seen that in Japanese media.

Time to patch this for a future re-read I guess...I finished reading all routes w/o the patch and it's annoying that I didn't get to see at least any proper kissing scenes lol
