Beginning Question
Was wondering how long does it take to get past all the fetch quests in the beginning? Been running back and forth for a while. I know its a part of most MMOs but would like to know when does the game open up.

The game opens up when you reach map 2 at around 15 level. You don't get truly competitive until you reach level 25+ I recommend logging in now during the holloween event to pick up special items. You will have an edge over the generic beginner!

Just a little overview on where the game is going to go:
First you start on the beginner map. In total there are five towns which you will have to complete in order to move on to the next island. Actually you finish the first map at lv12-13, except when you use experience pots. Then, of course, you are going to finish the map at a way higher level.
So after the beginner map you move on to Irselnort - The Ash Coast. There you also have to finish five towns + a place which is called Nadir. The difiiculty on The Ash Coast is, that you are now able to face enemy players. The only neutral area on that map is the city Nadir, which is kind of the border between the two enemy factions. Also, after finishing one town you get daily quests in that town.
When you are done with all storyline quests on Ashcoast, you can move on to the next map called Ayvondil - The Eternal Forest. Now, along with continuing with the storyline, you also have to gain reputation from the daily quests at each town (not on Ashcoast, only on Ayvondil) in order to be able to enter the dungeons.

Currently Ayvondil is the last map but it's not completed yet. One town is still missing and hopefully it's gonna be there with the next level cap :D

Oh and I talked about enemy players. As you have probably seen, when you created your first character you had the option to choose between four factions (Forsaken, Mountain Clan, Firstborn, Chosen). Out of those four factions, two factions together build one team. So we have Forsaken + Mountain Clan vs. Firstborn and Chosen.

I hope I was able to help you a little bit or maybe even someone else who discovered this game on Steam for the first time and was wondering what exactly is going on x.x

So no dungeons and party forming until the 3rd map? You have an estimation on how long it takes to get there? I appreciate the overview Julie

Dungeons and party/friends making are available AND important since the begining. Quests are the only way you will level up, but in fact not everyone wants to. The level cap is 28 - but you may want to stop lvling at 10, 13, 18, etc. and focus on equipping, making money, fighting with your guild... your parth is you who builds.
