i'd like to know how to join multiplayer as well. every time i open the MP server list, that screen freezes and i'm forced to open Task Manager then force DF2 to shut down.

I was just by chance researching some stuff that led me to novahq - which is surprisingly still operative, not only that. There were recent posts.. And not only that! TomKat, an old friend who I was part of our mod crew TXP has made DF2 EVO - a makeover mod that has De_Dust in it, and stuff I'm still just now reading up on. nice to see people are still stumbling across DF2. I'd love to find a work around joining multiplayer though. The server list freezes every time I click to join a server.

there is :) i found it online. download the 2 mods at the top of this list here. then follow the read me or descriptions on this page to install. works with steam version too. :)

This is what finally worked for me.

1) Download http://ftp.novalogic.com/DF2/df2_update_030700_xx.exe
2) Download http://www.devilsclaws.net/downloads/other/DF2_Lobby_fix.zip
3) Download http://www.devilsclaws.net/downloads/other/DF2_CdToWebDL.zip
4) Run df2_update_030700_xx.exe
5) Find your Steam DF2 install eg. C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Delta Force 2\df2.exe
6) Apply the update
7) Apply DF2_CdToWebDL patch
8) Apply the DF2_Lobby_fix
9) Be sure to copy the new ibrowse.dll into the game folder
10) Play the game, and never let steam validate the install again. or it will undo what you just did

Anyone tried these above suggestions with success? I'm about to give it a go soon, there was a different fix someone else provided to me that I applied and it didn't work...but I am gonna try one or both of these suggestions and I'll post here if it is successful or not.
Just wondering among those who've posted here; you guys playing? If so, what worked for you? Thanks - blessings

Thank you for the post. Confirmed multiplayer fix for Delta Force 2 on Win7 64bit OS.

McUnght~1AC~ here, good to check in with you all after all these years. 1AC was an American squad (First Air Cav.) and we used to play with them from the UK on 56K! I believe our leader was called Phantasm, good times. They just don't make 'em like they used to.

I can confirm that Danny's above instructions work on Win 10, the game works with the graphcs setting on 'software', hope this helps.
