Delta Force 2

Delta Force 2

DF2 does not display correctly after Windows 11 update 24H2
I downloaded DF2 the other day and have played it a couple of times and it was working great on my Windows 11 computer. My computer updated to 24H2 and now the graphics make it unplayable. I am hoping there is a solution coming out soon for it, otherwise the game is useless.

Same here. After the Win11 24H2 update all three DF games that I have are experiencing the same graphics problems. Size and color distortions. Since all these games were purchased from Steam, it would seem appropriate that they would acknowledge the problem and hopefully, address the problem. Where are you Steam?
I'm having the same issue.
Having same issue, anyone know if there is a fix?

I have ALL the delta force games working correctly on the latest windows 11 update.

I can't remember where I found it but I found a guide for one of the DF games to get it working on windows 11 and higher resolutions

This is a simple guide I made that I will post on all the Delta Force games groups for people to find. This worked for me on most up to date windows 11 using a ryzen 7 5800x and an amd 7900xt

https://github.com/dege-diosg/dgVoodoo2/releases

1. Download the latest github release of dgVoodoo2

2. extract it anywhere and run dgVoodooCpl.exe

3. then click Add and navigate to whichever Delta Force game install folder you want add.
Example C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Delta Force 2
(You can add all of them but the directX settings MUST be saved per game)

4. Select which game you want to edit in the drop down menu, then click DirectX tab

5. change the following settings on the DIrectX tab

5.1 un-check Application controlled fullscreen/windowed state
5.2 un-check disable alt+enter to toggle screen state
5.3 un-check dgVoodoo Watermark
5.4 check Force vsync
5.5 check Fast Video Memory Access
5.6 change Antialiasing (MSAA) drop down menu to 2x
5.7 change the filtering drop down menu to Force anisotropic 16x
5.8 change the resolution drop down menu to whatever your native monitor you will be playing on
5.9 change the VRAM drop down menu to anything over 1024MB (I set mine to the max 4gb but I have a GPU that can use it as I have an AMD 7900XT)

6. Click apply and close the program

congratz your DF games should be launching and working just fine now

I tried all of that and I still end up with a screen the size of a penny and cant even get into a server. Any ideas where I am going wrong?
Same problem for me, Incorrect Colors and screen so small even when i force full panel via AMD. Windows 11 Update has ruined it all.
Having same problems for DF1, DF2, DFLW and DFTD after Win 11 Update, BHD works fine. DF2 ingame is like its Black N White and the game fonts rainbow colours with the screen shrunk .

I have tried all this and with no resolve on all four delta force games.
Any Solutions Yet?

Mismo problema, esperando solución.
Anyone have a solution? Running into the same issue. Pretty wild that a Windows update could just break a game like this.
I posted on r/DeltaForce and someone there was kind enough to post a solution:

HERES THE FIX:

Unzip these files inside your DF1 folder: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Pr7_RQY-MO2H7zt5FD2-ydnk9FCfddsU/view?usp=sharing
Here's a 1min video tutorial: https://youtu.be/6BzHqtrwdRw

These files are from the DirectX wrapper called dgvoodoo.
Works for DF1, DF2, DFLW and DFTFD.

This fix worked for me and was super easy!

The game doesn't boot after applying those files in the game folder. Currently trying to run DF2 on latest Windows 11 update with no success.
