What happened to Delta Force Barracks?

Does anyone know what happened to dfbarracks.com? I can no longer access the website but could a few months ago.
It was the greatest resource for all things Delta Force and Joint Operations. There was thousands of maps a timeless collection. I hope they are not lost that would be a tragedy.

novahq.net is still up and running just fine. Basically the same thing.

I was searching Google for traces of "my" old DFBarracks and found this post. I (Hakske) ran the website in 2002, before I sold it. I was 16 y.o. back then and used my mother's credit card to buy it from the previous owner.

I remember leaking development news a bit too soon and piss off Novalogic which is funny now but it wasn't really at the time :D.

Anyway, sorry for bumping this, just found it cool there was a "recent" post about DFBarracks.

Hey, Eagle Eye here from the DBF site. I've been hosting the site for Major Headache for over 10 years.

But, the code is so old now that it has failed to run.

Even my own site, DFReload has failed.

I'm not a coder and can't update the sites to run on the newer versions of php that the servers insist on changing all too often.

Scott still has novahq running, so I suggest you drop in there for Maps etc..

Hey Smitty. I started and ran it before you.

I kept adding site features to grow usage, but it worked too well. The site got enormously popular and I wasn't able to manage it as well as I wanted to, alongside running a clan. Hosting costs weren't cheap back then either.

Omg I remember your name :D and I remember paying for it with my parent's credit card.
Might've been the first time they used it online too. A bit later I started NovaSquad and my focus kind of went there.

I'm happy it stayed around for so long though. I had an amazing time with the games and the community.

Hi Old timers! "varg" here. I used to run mapmakersheaven, I think I might have been a mod at dfb at some point. Was just now chatting with Tomkat who is actively doing df2 modding these days, and realized that dfb is down.. I'd also be happy to help bring her back up. Great to see some old names!

Anyway to retrieve all the custom maps/mission and other stuff and reupload that stuff to NovaHQ? I know there was quite a bit of stuff on DFBarracks I couldn't find on NovaHQ. I'd hate to see all that stuff lost forever.

I do have some custom coop and singleplayer missions for DF2 I have saved on an external HDD from DFBarracks before it went down for good that I can't find on NovaHQ.

I never realized that the site passed between hands that many times. At one point I remember DFB being shut down then someone seemed to re-open it after some time passed, so I found software that downloads a site's contents, so that I could have a backup of the maps. This must have been about 10 years ago. NovaHQ has been great for mods but do they host as much of the maps that Barracks used to?
