[OPEN] Can't start a game on Windows 8.1

Just 'Preparing to launch..." for 3 few seconds & then nothin'.

Playing on Lenovo Y50 .

Could you start game exe in command line with -log flag? Something like c:\...\alchemy_mysteries.exe -log
and send me game.log file after that! Thank you!

Also, try to update the game if it's not auto-updated

SOLVED :change full screen mode to windowed in options.cfg(in game save folder, somewhere in appdata/jetdogs studios/alchemy).

Could you send me log file? Or could you please try to set windowed mode as described above?
(options file is here: c:\Users\[your user]\AppData\Roaming\Jetdogs Studios\Alchemy\)

same problem here - the game doesn't start using a Sony Vaio 8.1 Notebook with internal Intel 4000 graphics.
You should fix this.

Have you tried compatibility mode? I have Win 8.1 and the game runs fine.

Try to troubleshoot the game, maybe that helps...

Easy fix on my Win8.1 laptop. Go to local files, find the executable "AlchemyMysteries_PragueLegends.exe" and right click to open properties. Under compatibility, check off "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" and save changes. The game should then load normally from Steam. This seems to happen with some games for people with high res monitors.
