how much solo is possible offline?

hey there. after some hickups, i finally managed to get the latest build of the game updated and running.
i wont bother with the online, as patching seems to be iffy on my computers/networks for whatever reason, and honestly, i dont care anymore.

so instead i want to play offline. i know about the three hirelings and all that. my online char didnt make it that far, still in the early game i would say. so i do know how the game works and all that, how the decks work, the crafting, the combat, world interactions, i get the basics. map tiers and so on.

what i dont know is how far solo offline is possible? can i play trough the main questlines without hassle? are the hirelings useful or braindead? any maps/scenes that are impossible due to tier or the enemies inside? like some sort of worldbosses etc?

The 3 hirelings are AI controlled so naturally less helpful than a party of human players. But as additional targets for the enemies that then target you less they are able.

Depending on your build there are a lot of bosses that are impossible or require very highlevel statistics.

But the 3 staring pathes and the main quest are completely possible to play offline.

Remember that you can not only hire 3 NPC'S in offline but that you can learn to tame a pet or summon an elemental to help you, too.
