How do I get into Malice.

The guy won't let me use the ferry unless i am dead. I tried killing myself and talking but it didnt work.

What am I missing?

Have you talked to Samael or Kardan at the inn, one of em can chicken out, so you have to take the other spirittalker with you.

Well, I got Samaels ring at his farm in Brookside, then went to Spite and messed around there trying to discover a way to get the ferry guy to take me across. He "only deals with the dead" so I spent an hour trying to become dead, or tricking him, like, getting into a coffin and waiting by the docks, or waiting for a boat and jumping on.

None of that worked, and the only way across was outside the town, on the main map, that boat that goes straight to malice, but theres a note saying that if you are on the love quest, you have to use the docks in town........but I used this anyway just wanting to see what malice looked like.

It worked. I just bypassed all the Spite stuff. The boat outside spite on the main map took me there, and there was the guy by the cart, outside spite, sayimg Samael was inside waiting for me.

So, screw Spite, for anyone looking how to continue your Love quest. Just take the boat on the main map, that is outside spite on the water.
