Alright, so I just wrapped up my time with Dead Skid Marks, and I've got some thoughts to share. No need for the exaggerated expressions or slang – let's keep it straightforward and mature.

Visually, Dead Skid Marks rocks that retro pixel art style, which I appreciate. It sets the tone well for the post-apocalyptic world it's set in, though it's nothing mind-blowing in terms of graphics.

As for gameplay, it's a mix of racing and roguelike elements, which is an interesting combo. Racing feels solid, with responsive controls and a good sense of speed. The addition of obstacles, rival racers, and crew, weapons management adds depth to the experience, keeping things engaging without overwhelming the player.

Now, onto the difficulty – Dead Skid Marks doesn't hold your hand. It's challenging, sometimes frustratingly so, but for me, that's part of the appeal. It keeps you on your toes and gives a real sense of accomplishment when you finally nail a race.

Regarding the soundtrack, it's decent. Some tracks are catchy and enhance the atmosphere, while others fade into the background. It's not a standout feature, but it complements the gameplay adequately.

Overall, Dead Skid Marks offers a solid indie racing experience with a unique twist. It's not revolutionary, but it's enjoyable for those looking for a challenging and engaging game. Give it a shot if you're into racing games with a bit of bite.

I've played Postal, i'm used to "edgy" or crass humour. But this is just puerile. It seems like this was a study in poor taste. There are only so many swear words you can fit into a textbox before it becomes more vile than spicy, not to mention it really dates the game. I'm almost surprised they didn't add a hard R.
And the whole joke of "road six hundred" is cliche and done to death. Its funny or ironic having it come up once, but with how many times the number pops up in the game if I were a more paranoid person I'd think they were an unironic devil worshipper.
But the real issue I have with this is the false advertising: it promised RPG FTL like customisation but in really there are only 5 cars you can choose and only 9 weapons, only 3-4 of which are actually unique and not just stronger versions of a previous weapon. This feels more like just a mediocore flash ground you'd play on newgrounds in the early 2000's.

All I can say is thank goodness I picked this up after it went free. There were a few giggles here and there, but overall this game just makes me feel like I trudged through filth or a sewer channel. Vile and digusting, in no endearing or complimentary sense at all. Just bad.

This is proper insanity, a no mercy roguelike, i think ive only ever won this 10 times in 35 hours, its a great time killer o good to just sit down for hours trying to master it

Sadly I don't think it's worth your time even at its now free price point. It's just not fun past the initial allure of the style. 95% of the combat is holding left click and pushing the enemy car into the side which takes 2 seconds before it's over and you're in a shop and then you're doing the same thing on the road again over and over. Until eventually you're at a boss which is weirdly tanky and takes forever.

If there was more strategy to combat or even skill (zoom out the screen for more room to move around) and more choices that had impact (most weapons it doesn't matter what you choose) then there could be a winning formula here. As it is, it's just boring.
