Before I write this, the music is freaking awesome, LOVED it, now buckle up.

I don't want to ever slate a game, but man this was so bad, I get the idea of sending it back to the 90's, for a cool retro game, but theres so SO SO much wrong with it. For starters, spelling errors in the "how to play" section, is that even forgivable in this day and age? Not sure. Moving on to using a controller, I couldn't find an option to change the controls, so you are expected to use left stick to move, and click right stick to shoot..Can I not use one of my 4 triggers instead? So i was forced to use it on the keyboard, which meant shooting with my mouse, the cursor is ridiculously small, so you constantly lose where you are actually firing and it becomes a nightmare.

Theres a back story in the intro (you cant even skip it) the story is 10 seconds long, its based on battlestar galatica, which isn't a bad thing. But once you actually start to play the game, there is no longer a story line, or any cut scenes, or anything with text at all, you are left to guess what to do, no "your mission" or "you died" text.

Some of the planets/levels start off like they are going to be great, with instant action and waves, then you clear it, and it all completely stops, i mean completely stops and you have to painfully wait for the cores to re-spawn while the odd random ship happens to pop up and fly in to the wall you've built.

To be quite honest, this game just infuriated me, I thought it would be great fun as I love these types of indie games, and as a child of the 90's love going back in time inside modern day releases.

I know it's only a small release, but I read the one and only review, and got all excited thinking this is going to sick, and hard AF like a lot of indie games are. Nope no, it wasn't hard, it wasn't good and I regret buying it. Sorry.

Providing long gaps between enemy waves leaves the player with nothing to do far too often.

This game is just boring. Way too many moments of completely nothing happening. I can't see anyone finding this game interesting.

At first it is difficult to understand but once you got the hang is very funny and frantic

The light and flare effects are amazing

Is very frantic and addictive even more with its cooperative mode.
Very fun to play with friends and have a laugh with them

The game has some bugs , but nothing major and they will be fixed over time

Easy, dull, shallow and repetitive.

Good for a VERY short match with some friends. Not a long game, not a lot of content. Would not recommend buying it for more than $1-$2

My overall feeling after playing is good.
At first I didn’t get the game mechanics of the campaign, then I realize that is all about charging the colony with the blue things that pop around. Managing to defend the colony while I was gathering the energy was tricky, but the mix of strategy and fast shooter was satisfying. After playing with several ships I prefer the Striker (love the boost, and it’s the only ship with that ability). Local coop was more fun than playing the campaign alone.

Graphics are amazing and music is great too. I didn’t mind that I couldn’t change the controls, after all is a twin stick shooter, it plays as you can expect from a twin stick shooter. I didn’t have any troubles playing with my 360 or xbox one wireless controller (it also works with Steam controller). It seems that devs addressed the crash and skip intro problems, which is always nice. It can have some fps drops if there are too many units on screen, but usually you take care of the enemies before that happens.

Despite some design flaws, I like when indie devs mix up different game genres. My feeling is that this game could have more juice, but it’s not a bad game, it’s worth to checking out.

Im Sorry to say that at lest on my rig that THIS GAME SUCKS!

The reasons are as follows, 1 there is no way that I could see to chaange the conrtols on the keybord.
2. there is no tutorial as to how to play ether the campan, or the survivl mode.
3. There is no way "at lest from what I could see" to learn how to play this game, because half the time whan you start the first level you ether get hit by a rock distroying your ship or the screen just goes black, and you can't see.
So in short this game could be a lot of fun, but it still needs a lot of work.

PROS:
1. Imersive music

CONS:
1. there is no limit on how many fighters you can deploy so the game FPS drops to like 1> and you can't do anything about it (yes i have a mid range gaming computer).
2. there is no explenation what to do when you cleared the level (i found out later that you just have to WAIT for the core to charge) no you can't speed it up you can just wait................... meanwhile there is just a few suicidal enemies spawning
3. storyline?????
4. the menu controls are a bit fidgety.

This game brings back an 80’s vibe and nostalgia for me. I first tried it in a friend’s house and was impressed with the lighting and overall aesthetic but, frankly, it was too difficult for me.

Some days later, as nowadays I tend to have less and less time to play, I thought about buying it and, man, was I right. Today every game seems to be so easy or at least slow paced that you actually forget what was like to try and fail. I find the game strategic and challenging, as every playable character has a unique play style. And I find the frustration actually rewarding. I know, I’m a masochist. :D

My favorite feature is the local coop because you can pair up damage dealers, supports, etc. That way the game becomes even more strategic (and I've always loved supporting).
