This made all my problems wth flickering graphics stop. Hope it is useful for you.
You running that in Fullscreen, son?
Intel I7 6700K
GTX 970

For me the game has multiple issues, but doesn't crash. It's mostly cursor invisbility and screen flicker. Either way, makes it unplayable. Also issues with sound.
Worked for me

Spread the word ^^
With fullscreen?
"Halfinger has Safecracker: The Ultimate Puzzle Adventure 18 Jul @ 2:29pm
Pressing the 's' key showed cursors and menu items for me as well as fixed a few ingame glitches (such as an inventory item not showing) I also ran in Win XP SP 3 compatabilty mode and changed 'bFullScreen=1' to 'bFullScreen=0' in the config file located in the steam install folder. I noticed removing full screen gave me the cut scene at the start and, I assume, any during the game. You may not need to mess with the config file as I did.
So far it is playing fine"
The screen still flickers sometimes and the cursor dissapears if I don't press "s", but the game is playable so far.

Yet another fix for flickering
1. Go to WineD3D For Windows[downloads.fdossena.com] and grab the WineD3DForWindows_3.0-staging.zip
IMPORTANT: use 3.0 version, NOT the latest one;
2. Unpack the archive;
3. Copy three unpacked files (d3d9.dll, libwine.dll, wined3d.dll) to the game installation folder. Default path for x64 OSes is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Safecracker 2;
4. Play the game.
This method could possibly fix other glitchy Kheops titles."
