Linux users - Unity 5 "no sound" Fix
Hello everyone,

Current Unity 5 version has bug for Linux users that prevents sounds from playing. While most Unity games have this issue, there has not been any hotfix from Unity engine developer yet.

However, here is quick solution to fix it provided by Stan:

change the launch options to: LD_LIBRARY_PATH="" %command%

We will hotfix this as soon as the Engine developer solves the issue

All the best

Thanks for pinning this. I think this bug doesn’t affect all the Linux distributions but it is needed for me on Gentoo.

Edit: to be more precise it is required for people who do not use pulseaudio.

Not getting any sound, using a Windows 10 machine though. This fix doesn't work for us.

Hey Egorvich,

Can you try running the game as admin? Also it might be related to drivers if you are using windows 10, we advice to update those.

All the best
