Cool. A little surprised they went for the $50 price point considering what the collection competes with. The Classic/Remastered mode is a nice touch after how bad the "updated" Grandia 1 sprites turned out.

I'm actually fine with 50€, especially since you'll probaby get GreenManGaming or other official key sites to offer a discount on top which makes it like 40-45€ for two games so 20-25€ each game? I'm down for that :)

Nice, subtitles confirmed as well.

I wonder if including an original graphics mode may have been in response to player complaints about the graphical changes to Grandia 1's remaster. If so, it's nice to see them learn from a mistake and make the graphical changes optional.

I'll be waiting for likely at least a -50% off sale.
where is the physical collector edition? i have all the others ps1 and sage cd.
Well, that's disappointing...

$49.99 feels overpriced considering that Lunar: Silver Star Story Touch is $11.99.

This is just my opinion:
Even this is a remaster, i am not sure if it's worth $50; consider how old the game actually is. Though I think this is subjective. The original Lunar games were awesome. I played them on the SegaCD and their remake on the Playstation 1. The SegaCD had better game play, the Playstation1 version had better graphics. At the time, each game was around $20-25. So let that sink in. IF they are providing both games on one install, then yea maybe it's worth $50, as long as the new voice actors are as good or better than the original ones; and, game play will be as good as the SegaCD versions.

As I've mentioned earlier: Yes both games are included and key sites (official ones like GreenManGaming) will probably offer another 5-10$ off which makes it even cheaper.
I personally think the price is fine sind both games are included, as the store page already mentions.

Honestly, I feel more inclined to pay a higher asking price for a classic game when it's on Steam because of the platform permanence. If I'm buying on a console that gets replaced every 5-10 years, the whole thing feels more fleeting and I'm in the mindset of prioritizing the games that are considered staples for that particular system before it gets replaced.

With Steam, once I buy the game I can expect to have it readily available for the foreseeable future on whatever hardware I'm using, so it feels like more of a permanent purchase. $50 for two classic games may be steep, but on Steam you're also paying for the ability to play it in 30 years (Lord-willing) on whatever your current system happens to be at that point.

That point may have had only a tenuous connection to your comment, but I'll just run with it.

One of the biggest reasons I moved exclusively to PC.

remasters tend to be in the 40-50 range in general.
2 games I loved for 50 bucks I can accept. Just wish they had the sega cd ones too, at least the music.

I've just looked at the difference between the 1996 and 2024 graphics. The difference isn't very great, or even non-existent if you emulate the game with certain filters.
Really disappointed, another botched ‘remaster’, released just for easy money. I'm glad there are two games... It's a shame for these 2 excellent games.
