Lunar 2 Remastered - Slowdown Issue
Just sharing this in case it might help anyone else who runs into this issue.

Every rare once in awhile, there will be a "freeze" and it will start CHUGGING at like 1 FPS for about a minute. I've discovered that hitting the hotkeys to bring up the Steam Overlay stops it and gameplay resumes as normal, but it's still somewhat annoying that this happens.

I'm in Pentagulia currently and this has only happened about 6 times up to this point. Still trying to figure out what triggers it.

Anyway If you notice the slowdown/chugging, just hit your keys to bring up the Steam Overlay (for me, it's the default: Shift + Tab). Hope this helps!

This is happening to me too during animated sequences and gameplay. I have to break focus by tabbbing or win-keying out of the game then back in. Interestingly, my CPU temp shoots up (5-10 degrees C) while the game is frozen and remains higher until the game goes back to normal. SSS was fine, but Lunar 2 is having this issue.

Update your direct x fixed the problem playing right now on my friends pc he had similar issue would slowdown and hit fps alt tabbing or bringing up the steam overlay would fix it for 20 secs or so.

Everything is up to date and I'm still having the issue.

It's okay though, because I'll be 100% done with both games in about a day.
Okay, glad I am not the only one having issues with Eternal Blue. The tabbing seems to fix things temporarily, but that seems to be a band-aid on a bigger problem. It happens every hour or so. Everything is up to date on my end as well.

Okay, so my freezes could be unrelated to the ones others are experiencing. I noticed that the freezes were happening whenever my wireless mouse would go into sleep mode. Strange that it wasn't happening when I played SSS, but I need to keep an eye on my system to see what's going on.
this also happens to me on a pc and on a tablet.

Weird bug. The fix for it tells me that for some reason the pc switches focus off the game, since tabbing would return focus to the game. Really confused me when it first happened to me. I noticed it happened more when my controller was dying, which means bluetooth would be requesting focus, so my theory is this happens when something in the background pulls focus from the game, the game does not grab that focus back.

Ok it has something to do with wireless controller and keyboard. Both of them are causing issues its when icons of the controller to keyboard changes or vice versa it hits slow downs.
Now im playing wireless keyboard it pretty much stopped. How the hell i managed to fix it first time no idea.

Weird, because it's happening to me and I dont have anything wireless or bluetooth. My controller is wired.

Ok found a work around the problem. You need to turn off the computer not do a shut down but physically hold the button cause sometimes for some reason it just goes to sleep mode. Once on immediately launch the game if it hangs at the start you do a shift+tab it will be playable again and stutters should disappear. Even with this its not always guaranteed about 1 in 3 chance for it to work.

I don't know if this is a troll or you seriously, but doing a hard shut down on your computer to work around a bug is not something I recommend. You only want to do that if you must, it can do damage to your processor chip. (Even if it's very unlikely.)

If your serious, make sure nothing using your cpu is running when you do it, safest when your computer is running quietly. It's still not a 100% guarantee but extremely unlikely to hurt it.

Is it just Lunar 2?

I remember that Working Designs said there was a similar bug in the PS1 version of Lunar 2 that they (after a lot of time) tracked down and fix. I hope it's not back....

Yes, it's just in Lunar 2. I played and finished both games and only had this occur in Lunar 2. I didn't know it was present in the PS1 release...I don't remember that happening with my copy.

You guys should post your hardware. Also a 5-10 increase in heat when running a game is not major. Thats normal.
