Because "Lunar Legend" is a dumbed down version of Lunar: Silver Star Story. Why would they want to remaster it, if they already remastered SSSC?
Now what in the hell Ubisoft would do with a niche IP like that is beyond comprehension. Not even their main IPs is profitable anymore.
Seriously, it's the same story. It only needs to be done once.
It's seriously dumbed down to play on Gameboy advanced. Yes, it has some minor gameplay changes. But yeah, it's the same game. In that sense, they DID remaster it, lol.
While it was OK back in the day for a handheld RPG, let's leave it back on the GBA.
They're probably just saving it for a future collection. Sort of like the Castlevania Collections have different games from the series in them, they'll probably do a "Lunar HD Pocket Collection" or something down the line featuring all of the handheld titles.
In the meantime, if you want to see it come to PC, I have started up a page on GOG Dreamlist on it, so consider voting for it.

It's really not dumbed down though, it's a unique version of the game with more highly detailed spites with far more animations in order to make up for the lack of FMV Cutscenes, it also features some interesting alterations to the story like the festival happening at the very start of the game with Nash appearing earlier as a guest. Definitely worth checking out.
Felt way more simplistic to me. But then again, it went from 2GB (4 512mb cd's) to a 32mb GBA cartridge. For what they cut out, it was alright.
Curious why they also do not have
Mahō Gakuen Lunar! (Magic School Lunar)
Lunar Dragon Song (I know why they didnt put this in it but they could have fixed why people hated this game ((running takes hp from the main character)))
Also curious why they didnt put the comics in this either. They could have translated all of that.
They also should have shown the canceled work of Lunar 3. What they intended to do before they scrapped it all.
Probably too much of a nightmare to get all the IP rights across all the different companies that had their fingers in the pie.
Lots of complicated licensing.
Re: Lunar 3, some of what they were planning got moved into Lunar 2's epilogue due to the impending death of the Sega CD.
