LUNAR Makes Top 10 Best Seller List
Nice to see the Lunar collection make it on the Top 10 best seller list here on Steam (Currently sitting at #9).
Gratifies my soul to know that a new generation will experience such a wonderful series.

i highly doubt new generation players are buying this game. very doubtful. and top sellers only go according to whats being sold that day. theres 0 competition on the market rn and the main customers are addicts who have been consuming products for the past 20-30 years.

that being said this is a great game just not worth the price.

I've never heard of or played Lunar before - I'm here from the hype and people on gaming forums and the JRPG reddit talking this up since the announcement.

You kidding? April is kicking my ass with backlog and there's sooooo many things coming out at the moment. I just pre-ordered Expedition 33 yesterday, Hundred Line Defence Academy and Post Trauma come out next week, I pretty much had to decide whether to wait on things like Warside, Tempest Rising and Chains of Freedom.
I'm in the middle of finishing up Tape 2 of Bloom and Rage.
I have downloaded and I'm dipping in and out of Blue Prince+Commandos Origins+South of Midnight over on Gamepass.

This release period is *nuts*!
To hear that this one is pushing through and selling is great to hear IMO.

I don't even know what this is supposed to mean :lunar2019crylaughingpig:
I interpret this as 'Adults with disposable income who are willing to spend money on our hobbies' :conwayshrug:
At the end of the day, this is good news.
Lunar was always an underrated lesser known series and though this is likely mostly fueled by old fans alone. It might catch the eye of younger gamers.

its a good game, its worth $20 max, idk about any of those games youre talking about either, all the games on my radar are late 2025 or 2026

yea you know who else has disposable income that spends it on their hobbies? alcoholics, drug addicts, p0rn addicts etc. its called consumerism

Comparing buying a game to being addicted to drugs is certainly a wild take, but you do you.

they both are non essential to human life, they both cost money, they both are considered addicting, and they both give a sense of reward and send dopamine to the brain. not that wild just similar. also they are both bad for your health and easily abused.

One is entertainment and one is substance abuse

alcohol consumption is considered entertainment my friend, and so is s3x or any form of enjoyment. p0rn is considered entertainment... thats why games like KCD2 can get away with pedophilia because the 15 year old boy being sexually exploited is just an expression of art and history.

there's a difference between a cocktail party and alone in a dark corner slumped over a big bottle of booze

So are you comparing buying a game or playing a game to drugs? You act like everyone is an addict. I don't buy into that absolutionist rhetoric.

im comparing consuming products at 5x the market value and claiming its worth it for entertainment value, to a delusional someone buying a carton of cigarettes every week.

everyone is an addict to something. thats a fact.

If "everyone" is, then effectively no one is, as the term becomes devalued to the point it's no longer meaningful or useful.

do these people think before they try to start an argument? you cant argue with facts you just make yourself upset guys.
