Never came across it through all my play throughs so not sure why they want it, looking at other posts seems to be a "you sucked at the game" bug.
Let me break it down further:
1. In the Japanese version of Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete for PS1, there is a softlock scenario wherein Hiro and Gwyn both faint in a manner that blocks the boss from Lucia, who can't fight at this point.
2. Working Designs discovered this bug when they were localizing Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete for PS1 for the US. WD added an event where, if the above conditions are met, Ruby will shout, "You killed Gwyn and Hiro!" and will use her flame attack on the boss. This will kill it, so you can move on.
3. The Lunar 2 Remastered seems to be based off of the Japanese PS1 version, so the softlock described in Point 1 has returned.
4. 💗VALENSiYAGAMES found this themself and came to point out that the bug should be fixed.
5. You somehow misinterpreted 💗VALENSiYAGAMES quoting Ruby as complaining that GungHo "killed the softlock."
If it still doesn't make any sense, go try to recreate the conditions yourself in both the PS1 version and the remaster and see what happens.
Thank you, I couldn't have said it any better myself. I hope the person having the reading comprehension problems can understand it better now after this. I actually came here to mention this softlock, as I just did it to myself to see if it acted like the PS1 version it's based on. Now I'm in an infinite loop with the boss powering up an Ruby not one-shotting the boss.
And here is how Working Designs solution exclusive to the English release on Playstation -

"HE ALMOST KILLED HIRO AND GRANDPA! THAT BIG BULLY!"
I mean ya gotta admit, it's a very clever idea, and makes sense with context to the canon lore with Ruby. Plus anytime saved is good too for the speedrunners.
