Cave of trials
Any one heard of the cave of trials will be like sega cd version and very hard or ps1 and easy? when I was a kid it took me 2 months to beat the cave of trials. The ps1 one a bit of let down how easy it was.

This re-release is an enhanced version of the PS1 game.

That's to bad.

Oh man, that was the first real wall for me as well. First game I ever played that required grinding in order to level/get to a beatable difficulty. After like, a week(?) the light bulb went on over my head and my "first farming" began.

talking about cave to get to magic city vane? i hated that, had to grind levels to survive long enough to get through lol

I did find it annoyingly difficult, but feel PS1 went too far in the other direction and made it way too easy.

Always thought the PSX version was suitably grind-y. Hard to imagine the Sega CD version being even grindier.

Perhaps I remember it incorrectly. I just remember the dogs being super easy to defeat.

To be fair, I haven't played the game in a LONG time. I purchased them new when I was working at Wal Mart back when they released... Christ, I'm old.

Well, they removed all of WD's changes to exp, money, and boss scaling. So the balance will be very different. I'm not fond of grinding, so this is the most exciting change for me.

this game has always been cherished for me. I still prefer the Sega CD version but will buy the remastered version soon once it releases in a few minutes. Cant wait to try and on steam deck, but will also buy hard copy for switch and ps4.

So the North American PSX releases had different balancing from the Japanese PSX releases? I wasn't aware of that. Reminds me of how Final Fantasy II/Final Fantasy IV had really different balancing depending on the country you lived in.

Did they remove boss scaling in Lunar 1? That’s a welcome change. I liked grinding in Lunar 2 for bosses.
Ran this again. The fight is still a challenge, I forgot it's now a mushroom. I think my disappointment wasn't a change in difficulty, it was the change in no longer needing magic (no more fire magic? Why?) and the boss is completely different.
