That said, I personally didn't have a problem with Lucia's original English VA but if they gut Ronfar's voice, it just won't be the same--I've braced myself though. I'm also looking forward to the JP audio regardless of how things turn out.
However... Ghaleon is precious to me. John Truitt is the one and only for me. His over the top and highly dramatic take on Ghaleon is legendary, especially the very good Saturday morning cartoon villain laugh.
At the very least, I hope Nash retains the "CHECK THIS OUT" and it sounds good, because you're gonna be hearing it alot. The PSP version with Nash's weak grunts was just a massive disappointment.
There's absolutely a brand new voice cast for every single role across both games, we have confirmation of that, so no one has misinterpreted for those of you who were worried. I just hope it wont ruin the game for me, as the original voice cast is what I came to know. I'm staying hopeful that they'll just add fresh life to the game but they have to be on point and can't just drop the ball singing or voice performing half-heartedly.
I also need to know who's re voicing Ghaleon. What am I going to do without Truitt at the helm of the antagonist??
I could just be hoping, but I wouldn't *assume* that when they say the cast is ENTIRELY new, that they would rehire any previous Voice Actor for any of these roles. So I'm thinking Ghaleon is likely to have someone completely new. I can forgive the Wings song sounding a little flat emotionally, but as long as they aren't dropping the ball on their dialogue lines as a whole, I'm not tooooo concerned. I'll just have to get used to a different cast. I've just never been put in this situation before and I don't have much faith in my neurodivergent brain to be okay with it at first. :/
