Yeah, it's to do with the water. I figured it out, but there's NO way of telling you have to do this in game AT ALL.
(Short of, I suppose, trial and error if you've been methodically freezing all the bodies of water in the game to see if there's anything under them.)
Also I'm confused. Water there only seem to hurt one of my 2 characters if I fall in
Remember what you did with the lava in the fire place to open up new rooms?
Hit it.
Yup.
BTW, I'm talking the left-hand part of the desert water here.
Edit : OH ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I figured it out. That's stupid AF that you have to hit the GROUND to have it freeze the water.
You have to land the freeze seed on the land right at the edge, then the explosion will freeze it. For some reason it doesn't work the same way as it does on lava, where you just throw the seed at the fire. God knows why. Just to be MORE obscure, I guess.
Then you can just whip it.
Aye, I've just made a post about that. I assumed it was something to do with the save point at the top of the ice place, but couldn't get anything to trigger there. (In fact, that's how I found one of the Demon Hunter locations).
Figured it out. Did you know you can swap maids when you're sat down at a save point. Because I didn't until I just tried it.
I had issues with the elemental stuff throughout the game. I never got an Ice Affinity subweapon to work, nor did half of the Freeze subweapons seem to do anything, except the Cursed Sword which COULD freeze lava and enemies.
Until it stopped doing so.
I did get a Fire Affinity subweapon to allow my whip to burn thorns for a bit. Until it stopped doing it. And then I never managed to get a Fire Affinity subweapon to allow my whip to burn again.
So either it is a bit buggy, I didn't understand it, or like so much in the game, it is badly explained. I mean, they still don't tell you in-game that you can press R2 to toggle more indepth descriptors for the subweapon traits. I chanced upon that when putting my controller down one time.
Wait... That actually makes sense. Should have tried that.
Yeah, but every other body of water I came across was frozen by just freezing the water itself. I was chugging some at the boat places to see if it did anything. I have no idea what is supposed to freeze the water cause the obvious Freeze Curse or whatever doesn't do anything.
