It simply won't start!
I have been playing this game for a week now and just today when i hit my desktop shortcut nothing happened, so i went to my steam library to start from there, nothing. Finally i validated the files and it said i was misssing somthing, downloaded it but it still won't start. Anyone with the same problem or a solution?

I figured out a solution - I went to the folder markrevell mentioned. Instead of deleting everything, I opened up the PCconfig file with notepad. I manually changed the resolution to 1920x1080. The game launched and then I could make changes in game.

Yeah I have a similar problem. It starts, but then it kicks me back to the desktop. It basically just keeps crashing over and over. It worked fine like two days ago. I tried validating the files, but that didn't fix it. Any solutions would be great.

I am having a similar problem- Game starts, and kicks me to desktop. I get a windows 10 message, saying the game is attempting to access my graphics settings. Is it a windows 10 issue?

hange compatability mode to win 7
I found out the hard way over months that some LEGO games REFUSE to work if they dont like your computers location/And/OR/Date time format.
At least 3 of the LEGO games will never work if you have your TimeZone settings (Date/Months) set to Asian script (Kanji/Hiragana/Katakana).
After a thousand different searches for fixes, that was what stopped 3 of them working for me. I dont have this title though. Most of the rest, but not this.

What was that location?

It should be in your AppData. So C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\LucasArts.
There it is, I guess.

FIXED FOR ME :

Porblem : crashed on startup, shortly after the "A long time ago, in a galaxy far awar" text disappears. Game would shut off and i'd be back on desktop

Method : right click on windows icon in taskbar -> Device Manager
In Device Manager window, find "Human Inteface Devices" and click on it.
Then locate "vJoy" (usually at the bottom of the list) and disable/uninstall it.

If you dont find vJoy then your problem isnt exactly the same as mine. I had this issue because vJoy is a virtual controller always active in the background, yet not DirectInput(KBM) nor Xinput, the game doesnt recognize it.

And it caused it to crash the game on every startup
