Recently bought DDD and I've been checking the skill list, but I can't understand why does the mercenary gets more magic points (corrupt perk, for instance) than the witch (considering she's the magic-user and all...)

Keep in mind that the witch is capable of regenerating mana (by holding down the attack button), whereas the mercenary needs items or shrines to do the same.

Is there some way to make the Crusader good? I can't figure out what stats and abilities make him not garbage. I've been playing mostly with the Mercenary and basically abusing miracle heal / torrent.

Different characters will suit different play styles - personally, I like playing as the witch. Remember that the Crusader can regenerate life by holding down the attack button, making him an excellent defensive class, or suitable for equipping items which drain your life.

No offense, but you should probably explain these things in the game itself. People shouldn't go to forums to find out cornerstone abilities.

WTFM - where's the f-king manual?

It is explained in game, by an npc (I don't remember which dungeon he is in right now, I think it's on the Graveyard)
That being said, I do agree we could maybe have done a better job out of it.

I don't think the Crusader's heal is even viable. It takes so long to charge that there are really no opportunities to ever use it. Unless you're fighting an enemy that does nothing like Ancile Guard or Dark Mage, you will never pull it off.

Speaking of Ancile Guard, he has to be one of the most annoying enemies in the history of video games. I was just trying for the Ninth Circle achievement and each one added about 5 minutes to my time. Seriously, that guy is up there with medusa heads and science vessels.

Thanks for the feedback regarding Crusader and Ancile Guards, and I don't think that you're alone in that opinion. We'll be sure to have it in mind in any future rebalancing passes.

The Crusader also seems like he's better at the endless dungeon than he is in the shorter dungeons. I can take all the %damage reduction skills that can't be increased inside a dungeon. In a shorter dungeon this is counterproductive because it doubles or triples the clear time. However in the endless dungeon, the agility and strength are guaranteed because of all the Dark Shrines and level ups.

Maybe he isn't total garbage after all lol
