Because for some reason most people on the internet have this flawed philosophy of "Short games=bad games".

My opinion is that maybe its something to do with the copy-paste bosses? Not sure tho

How did you manage to play through it on PC? My game keeps crashing to desktop on Kamino The Escape. No clue why. Completely unplayable past this point on the Steam version

Try this "official guide".

If that didn't work look at this page and see if any of the solutions there work for you.

I'm surprised no one says this for games like Metal Gear Rising tbh

The primary issue with Force Unleashed 2 is you start off extremely strong so compared to the previous title you dont have an escalation of power which made the game feel boring.

Rising is a longer game than TFU 2.

Rising also has Sam and Wolf DLCs and VR missions which make that game at very least twice as long as TFU2 for 1 whole playthrough.(You also have optional codec dialogues)

The newest Call Of Duty game is also being bashed on the internet for having a "very short campaign".

That whole mentality is why every company is trying to make their games as long as possible unfortunately.

It was rather short, the story although not great in the first was very lazy even though it was somewhat interesting concept, bosses and enemies got repetitive, and honestly it was just more of the same as the first without anything fresh to really justify a sequel. It was rushed through development sadly, you can see the passion they had with really trying to make lightsaber customisation cooler, decapitation, the costumes but sadly the rushed dev time meant it couldn't be fleshed out as much.

Some of the creative choices in combat and level recycling, the bad port, even at the time it launched on Steam, and (related to the latter) the lack of the Endor map DLC. TFU Ultimate Sith Edition had all the DLC in its port, and it was pretty fun to play through those additions finally. I cannot say the same for this game, and I never had an opportunity to play this game's DLC.

Because what it could have been immediately preceding the Disney acquisition, and the state it was in when it got on Steam (ontop of the bereft feeling I had on initial completion a decade ago), I lean toward sorrowful disdain for this game.

disagree on combat, comparing to the first game, tfu2 is perfect for multiple reasons
1)picture is more clear
2)fighting much more responsive (block is a viable option in this game, for melee and range attacks) (same with powers, for example grip is much faster thus you are less vulnarable will experementing with choreography)
3)enemies dont spam KO attacks (playing tfu1 on high difficulties at least for me a gamble on how many unblockable KO attacks boss will make, not to mention enemies can dmg you will you are perpetually down) (its such a rare ocassion in tfu2 i dont even know if there is damage to knocked down Starkiller)
4)force more precise. i think its probably a keyboard scheme issue, but in tfu2 throwing stuff is much easier (not to mention there is no wierd crazy fast mouse input)

for me questinable are only corridor levels, they dont feel to be such drag like in tfu1 when you walk tremendous amount of time, but tfu2 lacks scale for sure

as a kid i also like tfu1 but right now tfu2 seems like a better option just for amazing fighting (although i still hate those tricky dodge windows during boss figth )

Also they did smt to AI, so it doesnt gang up on you as harshly as in tfu1, which, personally me, forces to use cheap tactics

Yeah. as whole Force Unleashed 2 made some improvements to the gameplay that was in TFU 1.

1.They improved the aiming and the camera.
2.They added the ability to deflect missiles and force grab them on the air.
3.They made the controls better and starkiller controlls more responsive compared to FU 1.(For example you don't need to hold the block button to force grab more than 1 enemy)
4.They made the enemy AI more "balanced". For example they don't attack you while you are on the middle of a throw animation.
5.They made the force dash faster.
6.I know Force Unleashed 1 had some wierd feature that you couldn't force grab enemies that were being electrocuted. Force Unleashed 2 fixed that issue.
7.In my opinion, force mind trick was better than the ability it replaced that was in force unleashed 1.
8.Enemies actually get their armor "damaged" when you drain most of their HP which in some ways make the game look nicer than having a HP on top of every enemy head.

Its funny, how i personally preferred tfu1 when was a kid, but recently remembered about whole series and decided to play it, and i was so confused when playing tfu1 was a pure torture, for some reason i couldnt play it the way i ve remembered it, but then its hit me.. gameplay flaws are so obvious, they are surely fixed in tfu2, so maybe my impression of a better gameplay imprinted on tfu1 memories. As it turned it is.

So far, length isnt the issue for me as before, especially comparing to tfu1(clearly they didnt manage to find a sweet spot, cause tfu1 had too much walking around and tfu2 not much walking around), my main issues are
1) Evading Gorogs attack on second and third phases, cause on phase two sometime i just couldn't evade a hit although i more or less confident on how to do it. On phase 3 i just have no idea where to fly, so he wouldn't hit you (wierd combination of a close up camera + wierd position of camera + wierd swings he does)
Both of those moments i was at the mercy of checkpoints
2) Vader fight is kinda boring when you understand what to do.

Other than that, amazing game, with awesome ending sequence thanks to interesting plot and Sam Witwer perfomance.

And yes, mind trick was so kuch better than electric shield.
Allowed to insted of using lighting force cheap tactics, rebalance fight so, you could still style it through

Ps also no more combos which are needed broken fingers or a third hand

This game deserves a remake if anything
