Does this game is like Unreal Tournament 2004?

One of my favorite games is Unreal Tournament 2004. I watched video on thes steam page and I have question: Does this game is like Unreal Tournament 2004? I am not asking about other Unreal games, I am interested in Unreal Tournament 2004.

It's a mixed bag of other shooters too. But it's more like UT2004 than anything else.

Pretty much yep. Intended as a spiritual successor to the series after epic declared UT dead and encouraging people to make their own spiritual successors then went "lolz just kidding, we're making UT4!"

The movement system is as I understand it, pretty much the same as UT2004, dodge-jumping and whatnot. So if you were to pick one game in the UT series it is the most like, it would probably be UT2004

Its UT3 but way worse. avoid buying.

Just get Unreal Tournament 2004, its more fun, and has more players than this.

I did Play k4 for many years, i did stop playing because the Game seems to be a old loking game.

So no, i wont recomment buying 2k4.Of course there are still Goty Players today...

Unreal Tournament 2004 is really boring for me. Characters move like fat-asses, it's like running and jumping after a big dinner.
It has never approached the Magic and the unbeleivable fun of UT 1999 or even Quake III.
And UT III was a shame for the franchise.
If TOXIKK is like UT 2004, It's sad. I don't feel like buying right now *_°

It is all about taste. I personally like Unreal Tournament 2004 very much and dont like UT 1999 , Quake III, UT III, they are too fast for me.

Sorry, I followed the discussion trying to figure out what this game was and I forgot about your original Post title.

By the way it's easy to get used to the speed, once you are hooked, but what I love the most with the originals games is that there were NO vehicles.

Obviously " FRAG LIKE IT'S 1999 ! " is a wrong catch line...

Not sure if this is a troll post based upon your presence on the forum.

But I would argue against this, UT2K4 is fun, but Toxikk looks better and you don't need tons of workarounds to get a massively good frame rate (144 runs straight off the bat) Also 2K4 doesn't really have much potential to grab new players, they get decimated and leave. Toxikk at least has matchmaking of a form so you know what you're getting before you join a match.

This Add is a FRAUD trying to grab as many pigeons as possible, pretending it's like quake III or UT 1999 real hits, where it knows pretty well that it just squints on a worse game from....2004.

So, because a game is not a complete copy of a game from 1999 and uses features that are from later games, it is misleading advertisement? Not to mention that in the very same trailer, about 27 seconds in, you can see a vehicle. 37, 44, 50 seconds in, you see more vehicles. Along with the trailer actually saying "Vehicular Game Modes", advertising.. You know.. Vehicles.
Starsiege Tribes that came out in.. 1998, before 1999 but played in 1999 as well, featured.. Guess what? Vehicles!
The main things for the "Frag like 1999" is really that it's an Arena FPS, no iron-sights or stuff like that and no regenerating health. I'm still struggling to find the misleading advertisement here.
