ammo costs too much

is there a config file I can edit to make it so it wont cost me all of my money to buy a box of ammo?

I was in your shoes before. Here's some tips: max your dps on your ammo efficient guns (shotguns especially). Ammo efficient means not your miniguns or SMGs. High damage, low fire rate, preferably AOE. Take out many enemies with 2-3 shots. Look for ammo shrines! max ur autoloot range skill. Those are my tips! don't cheat :( EDIT: also be sure to use multiple guns, there are 8(?) quickslots for a reason!

sell gems you don't need, use ammo shrines after finishing mission (before teleport) and yes, they reload after a while even if your in the mission (just remember position), there is a skill which reduces costs in shops (-25 %), also ammo find skill helps and if this all isn't enough, there is gems who help to push ammo drops...

typically I use a light gun with 3 crit damage upgrades, but 100 ammo just isn't enough at times

For my insanity play through, I used a sword almost all of the time. Wasn't that bad.

Fair enough. Abuse the ammo shrines. There is a perk thing you can go with that reduces cost for items by 25% in stores. I rarely run out of ammo in part because I don't use it much, and in part because I collect what enemies drop when I kill them. On Normal and Hard when I used my guns, I never ran out of ammo because of that.

never seems to be a gun shrine around when I need one. I just don't get why they have shrines for infinite ammo but the stores cost so much when you want to do it the normal way

What guns do you normally use? I had a preference for the archery ones myself. Found ammo for that all over the place.

oh yeah Ive noticed tons of projectile ammo too, I might even just get a good bow for it. I normally use a revolver and a grenade turret

Another tip by our lord and savior Harambe, blessed be his name! You do NOT have to kill every enemy, only those highlighted in gold on the map! Don't waste your ammo until you are confident in your ammo collecting abilities!

oh yeah Ive noticed tons of projectile ammo too, I might even just get a good bow for it. I normally use a revolver and a grenade turret

I can't stand the pistols I've found so far. Looks weird when he holds them. I use a missile launcher myself. It's a bit on the slow side for reloading, so I have it specked out for pure damage.

the turrets reload themselves, so it doesn't bother me too much (the reload is super long on a turret launcher too). I always try to use a large caliber pistol and just go for headshots or weakpoints in any game that its possible in though

I forget the name of the one I use, but one of the two archery weapons I like is a gauss rifle. It's pretty slow on the reload, so again, specked out for damage. I use it when I want a good, strong head shot. Factor in the vanish's 2 times damage ability, you can do MASSIVE damage to bosses.
