I too am baffled about that ending, did Lo Wang die? Is Kamiko that dragon? what.
The banter between the Wang and Kamiko was fun, but they really didn't really get across their change of opinion about one another.
"Kamiko" doesn't have body and what you have seen is only exist in Lo Wang mind. No one can't see her (like smith can't in first scene after soul transfer) . Her appearence in chat it's only game mechanic visualisation "for show". Remember that for the start.
Now im not expert on immortality but when someones immortality and only can be killed by nobitsura kage then how the hell did she die from a cure?
(best argument is that since her body fused with Kamikos she sudenly lost it... somehow)
Even with all the references to dragons, the ending is kinda random, since it happens all of a sudden almost.
"Normal" novadays ending.
Mass Effect 3, DeusEx HR, ...
Its hard to say what the Devs where thinking when making this ending, as the developers of this game don't operate like EA or other soul and money suking big corporations.
There was no day one dlc (well razorsword could tecnicly count as one) and no dlc announced unlinke with most companies.
So i am not sure if they made it like this so they could continue the game by adding free stuff or dlc or just sequel bate.
(still pretty bad move)
Which Kamiko then agrees to do anyway.
For some reason.
Ameonna (and all the other ancients) have immortal bodies, not souls. Lo Wang killed her whilst her soul was inside Kamiko's body, thus the Nobitsura Kage was not needed.
Ok that explains it, thanks.
