WTF CO-OP MODE
I started to play with a friend in co-op and we noticed that the story only progres for the host.
I have 8% of the story and my friend 2%.
I hate this type of "co-op campign" because is ussles because we both want the story to procces. not only the host, im very tilted.

Just play the campaign with your friend then, I don't see any problem with that. After you're done you will have to start a new game anyway

When a game says "we have co-op" all players progress their story. Not just the host.

That's what this game DOESN'T DO, according to OP.

And it isn't a coop campaign. You just do the missions, that you progress in the story is a side effect

In that situation I cant see how the story for second player could progress

How did they mess it up? It's coop and it works. They never said that you will be able to do the campaign together. How should it work if you just started and the host is at the last mission? Do you want his progress then? Its unlikely anyway that you will find someone who made the same amount of sidequests and story missions like you

Shared coop progress would be ♥♥♥♥♥♥, everytime I join a hard/insane server to farm for gems the other players complete their quests and skip through all the cutscenes. If it was shared I would have missed a bunch of cutscenes.

That's a shame. So multiplayer is pretty pointless then right now unless you're just grinding.
I was very much hoping that co-op would progress both players equally.

From the store page:

Four Player Co-Op: Battle through the expansive campaign alone or team up as a four-player typhoon of destruction online in campaign co-op mode. Tackle challenging primary missions or thrilling side quests while maintaining your own ninja style with customizable armor, items, and valuable loot from your triumphs.

So, yeah, pretty much flat out said you could go through the campaign in co-op mode.

As for how to handle people being at different points in the game, it's quite simple. If you're both at the same point, you both get completion. So if you're joining someone else's game who's at the same point in the story as you, and you go through some missions, when you go into your solo game, those missions would be done.

Grinding is quite essential though...

Not at all. It says you can do the missions but not that your progress is shared. Most coop games work like this today, should've thought about it before buying it

Lmao I thought it was lame at first but seeing how short the game is. It's no big deal plus you could join your friend for the extra skill points you'll get from doing his missions. So win win either way. Plus he'll get more skill points from catching up in his story.

Actually, no, most of the co-op stuff I play has shared progression.

It doesn't affect me personally, as I'm going through solo anyway. But it's just a bad design choice on the Devs' part. Which is a shame because they did so well in pretty much every other aspect.

With luck they'll patch that at some point.

guys, serusly. u acept that not progressing co-op for real? We are de costumers, we are the payers. they have to listen to us and give us what we ask for making better the game that we have PAYD.
Let's hope they listen and "fix" that co-op issue.

Wrong. They are the developers and they make the game they want. It's not up to us what the game should look like, we can only give suggestions. At the end its up to the devs if they listen to us or not, even if they will lose some money. After all, they are the creators and the author of the story
