Tips On the Crafting System?

Just figured out that ♥♥♥♥ existed lol how does it work? It could come in handy on my next playthrough

Really? There's a big info bubble that pop up taking almost 1/4 of the screen when you can craft for the first time.. how did you miss that?

Anyhow, go to the Smith's forge. Choose 3 mods. Combine.. Get a better one.

When did it pop up??? lol i was just kicking ass and ♥♥♥♥ yo i guess i missed it. So it really doesnt matter what i mix then right?

well you can only mix mods of the same quality to get a superior one but no I haven't seen a link between the type

It seems to be just an upgrade in the Rarity and that's it. From what I've heard you're better off just finding the upgrades from killing ♥♥♥♥ and opening boxes and such.

When does crafting unlock? I did the Ninja'd Scrolls side quest chain and it seemed like it was leading up to unlocking crafting then...but then nothing. Just finished the TV station main quest.

I was about to just create a thread asking about crafting. I'm about to start the mission that tells you there is no return, but I've yet to see anything bout crafting. Nothing has popped up talking about crafting either, and no info of it in the wangpedia.

I don't know. I've crafted many orange mods from greys that have been better than anything I've found. And the consistancy in getting yellow and orange mods is pretty high even with greys and blues.

you need to progress the story a little bit more, at some point when you will start a story mission it will say that you will lose any unfinished sidequests (just like in deus ex).
after that mission the crafting will be available.

Crafting always (in my experience) give you a higher quality mod, great way of getting orange however it's the type of mod that's unpredictable. You can get the same mod by using the same type 3 times before but if not it's hard to know what you'll get.

The crafting pretty sucks, i always use 3 oranges but i always get a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ one in return, and its completely random tho what u get.

I once did 3 vampire hp MODS my best and i get a worse in return GREAT!

Yes, the crafting ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks balls!!! Just awful.

I played with crafting for about five minutes until I realized the money I get for junking my old gems will be more useful in the long run when I want to purchase a decent gem from a vendor. I'll try crafting again in the future with some higher-level gems, but for now I just junk everything.
