Local Co-Op?
Hello!

Just wondering if this game offers Local "Couch" Co-Op. I have a Steam link and was hoping my wife and I could play together. It states on the store page, "Co Op" and "Online Co Op" which leads me to believe it does. Also says full controller support. I am downloading the game and can't test it out yet. Just curious to know if anyone has tried or knows whether or not it does or doesn't. If it doesn't, I would like to request the Dev's to take off Co Op on the storepage because it's misleading. Buying this game primary to play with Wife and friends. Hope I can.. If I can't I'll still keep the game unless it's terrible but everything I've watched and read has lead me to believe otherwise. So it'll just be a minor disappointment if anything most likely.

Thanks for your time. Have a great weekend everybody!! (^_^)_//

Only online co-op.

Ahhh BS. lol Dev's need to take "Co Op" down as it listed it twice (co op and online co op), which is definitely misleading as ***k. When I see them add both I think offline couch co op and online mp co op. Maybe I am just old fashioned. Oh well. Hope the game holds up now that I am disappointed before I even finished downloading it! Thanks Vantom. See ya.

If a game on Steam supports a form of local co-op, then it would have Local Co-op listed on it which this game does not.

two 'CoOps' does mislead one into thinking its both local and online

As a dev I can tell you that here on Steam we can choose from those option (one or more).
Single-player
Multi-player
Online Multi-player
Local Multi-player
MMO Co-op
Online Co-op
Local Co-op
Shared/Split Screen

As you can see there is Shared/Split Screen. This is, as you call it, Local "Couch" Co-Op.

I don't care, they need to fix the store page so people like me don't buy it to play with friends/family. My wife and I were pretty excited to play the Doom version of BL. Oh well. Like I said, hopefully it holds up or i'll request a refund. I hate it when companies add misleading features to generate more sales. I hope they adjust it to just "online co op" and remove the second tag. That's all I know. Thanks dudes. Hope you guys have a wonderful weekend though. Appreciate all the help.

Steam's definition of Co-op, Local co-op and Multiplayer:

OK, so Vantom, why would they list it twice if it only serves as one purpose? I don't understand obviously lol Isn't Online Co Op enough? Placing Co Op again makes me think local couch co op. Also, is local co op LAN? My wife would need another PC to play? lol Tags have become more confusing than I remember over the years. Thanks for the thourough explanation though, I appreciate it greatly.

so local co op would be two machines on the same local network?

No, Shared/Split Screen is playing on the same computer.

Local co-op means exactly what Shrapnel said.
It means that game dont have/use servers and you can create one to play with your friend in local network.

I have several games with LAN support on Steam. None of them have Local Co-op on their store pages.

And it dont need not have. Devs choose one or multiply tags, if devs mark it then you will see this on the store page, if not then...
