Hi-res texture pack
Hello,

Great game. Is there a chance of a hi-res texture pack?

If you're a Nvidia user and you have a high end card, make sure to use Geforce Experience to maximise image quality (select optimize). Going beyond 100 in resolution scaling, disabling MSR in SW2 video menu also greatly helps.

Yeah, just move Resolution Scaling bar to the right until you can't move in game:) Seriously, i found that 125-150% is enough to see very hi-res textures. Moving it from 150 to 200 can seriously slowdown framerate, but my PC is not a hi-end.

Ι have gtx 970 g1 gaming 4gb and 24'' 1440p 60 hz ips monitor will i realy need to move resolution scaling up to 150% for good textures? What does this setting do exaxtly? Is itl ike DSR?

Just do it and see it for yourself. But this menu item is greyed-out until you switch into "Custom" in overal quality GFX menu item (don't know how it called in english version). This is common new feature in Unreal 4 engine and its cool!

No, that changes the resolution of the game and not the texture's resolution/detail. There are some very low-res textures in this game.

For me it also increases texture quality, but maybe this is just my imagination...

that has nothing to do with textures, it's just internal rendering resolution

You're actually all right. Textures are an asset, so they don't change with resolution scaling. However how clearly you see them does. Because at a resolution above native it takes more sample information and compresses it into the pixels of your monitor. Textures will appear less hazy, less shimmery and easier to see and articulate in motion. It wont be better textures - however it could well appear that way to your eyes.

yes

Anyway with more scaling textures looks better for my eyes and this enough for me (i am on 125%).

But since 1440p monitor is already high resolution monitor do we need to increase tge resolution more than 100%? Willl buy it later from gog and see what happens.

At least i can see better picture quality with each ~+5 percent. So its working somehow...

O finaly GOG finished downloading the game one hour ago and i played first mission. With evrything maced 1440p and 100% resolution game is playble at about 60 fps. At 200% it starting have a little lag so i will leave it at 100% because since i have native 1440p monitor there is no realy need for that. What the system requirements for 200% anyway? Is my 2500k 4.2ghz 12 gb ddr 3 1600 mhz gtx 970 g1 gaming 4gb not enough?

With 1440p and resolution scale slider set to 200% you are effectively playing almost at 4k. It's quite a crazy res for 970.
