FWH, just give up on the bossfights
Seriously Hard Reset, SW1 and SW2 all would be so much better without these terrible bossfights to want me quit the game. Sure, in SW1 they were mostly just boring as ♥♥♥♥ but seems like now the difficulty spikes I hated Hard Reset for are back too.

I want to continue with the story but I just can't get past the second bossfight against Kamiko's body on insane. It's just crazy, I can't even see its attacks from all the effects, my weapons do ridiculously low amounts of damage and so far the only way I could make some progress was a bug where she can't attack me when I'm right below her. It was a bug I was happy to find because at this point I love your games but hate your absolutely terrible bossfights, FWH... too bad that she changed phase and instakilled me (from full health, mind you) with some ♥♥♥♥ing attack.

Give up on the bossfights, FWH, you're absolute ♥♥♥♥ at them! I've played 3 of your games and I've yet to see a bossfight from you guys that is at least mediocre. Partial solution: just let me skip the damn things or have a switch for easy bossfights where they have like 1000000000000000000000000000000000000 points less health.

I have to agree. In SW2013 I stopped my campaign and decided to just play the occasional Survival round after running out of ammo repeatedly on a boss on the hardest difficulty. At easier diffs it was do-able but boring as hell 'rinse and repeat' shooting off armor.

The fight against Kamiko's body is one of the worst I have ever seen, but at least on 3rd diff. it is easy enough to keep dying and whittling her down. I ended up using a flame katana and just bashing away at her legs, which appear to be a loot pinata for some unkown reason, and that worked other than the arena being flooded with ammo drops. The fury mode tip popped up mid-fight so I didn't know how to use it until AFTER the fight. It was crapilicious.

I enjoy the rest of the game, but when a boss fight pops up I crack a beer and prepare for a slog. The mini-bosses are fun but the actual boss fights tend to be either boring or confusing as hell.

I would love to see FWH team up with Obsidian. THAT would be something.

So, that it's too hard for you makes it, crap? Makes sense to me.

Not hard, just bad tells and design in general. Like I said it was easy to beat although I died a couple of times, just boring, laughable, and made no sense.

If I were troubleshooting this for you, my first question would be, "Sir, are you looking at your computer screen while you play the game?"

Strange, I didn't have problem defeating her on insane. Mostly I was shooting her with steampunkish railgun. Every shot took about 2-4% of her health, I think.

Constantly evade, evade or jump over spikes, sometimes heal. When chi regen is maxed up healing is cheap.

At the end I defeated her with a pistol, even with buffed critical damage (more than +100%) and higher critical chance it took around 10 minutes. :D The funny thing is that I have a melee focused build because the only useful amulet I could find was the one that gives you +30% melee damage but lowers your light and heavy weapon damage by 20%. Because of that my first weapon of choice - when I realized that melee and powers won't work - was my strongest medium weapon, a demonish looking assault rifle: after firing around 500 rounds at her it only took down around 25% of her health. :D Maybe a stronger rifle would have done the trick better but after trying my buffed as ♥♥♥♥ king skeletor minigun thing on her to no effect I just gave up on that category.

After nailing down the patterns (which is basically jump dashing all around the place so the spikes you can't accurately see anyway will miss you 95% of the time + moving around so her ridiculously inaccurate dash attack won't hit you) it was fairly easy to kill her but it was still a very boring, uninspired fight with bad design. Too bad because honestly the first Kamiko fight was not bad at all: the fight was generic but the setting was nice and it was good to see that FWH finally dropped the "shoot part of the body until it falls down" gimmick.

The time spent on designing these terrible parts would have been spent so much better on coming up with some more enemy types.

I used flame damage instead of guns, but jumped around a lot after making the same observation.

Yeah, elemental gems seems like a must so all of my weapons have them too.

Well yeah if you just jump and dash constantly and rush the heal statue if it is ready, but is that compelling or fun? I noticed that I could hide for those attacks, but it was more waiting and dodging than actually fighting. I feel like it was dragged out through a sort of artificial difficulty, but if you kicked her ass in short order then 'good on ya'. Just my take on my first encounter.

I thought the boss fights in SW2 were fine. They are focused around movement and evasion as you widdle down a singular entity. This is inline with boss fights from ARPGS etc. To be honest, it would be nice to see something in between elite mobs and these boss fights.

I tried shooting next to last boss(I'm evading spoilers here) with a Agent of Chaos gatling gun, which resulted in 0/0 damage output. Looks like his protections/resists are too high for a small damage of each shot. Killed him with Triad revolver in the end. :p

I'm sick of the same old boss fight formula every game uses. Get boss halfway or two thirds down health, some kind of shield materializes out of nowhere. next minute said boss is invulnerable somehow and it's standing Army of minions suddenly teleports out of nowhere and attacks you left right and center. And finally whittle the bosses health down to '0' which means dead. And suddenly even though you got their health down to death status, a cut-scene ensues which either consists of the boss mutating into another form with full health or running away. It's so frustrating. Frustrating fighting the 'same' boss multiple times.

Actually the third bossfight (the robot) was quite good: the immunities were clear from the get go so you instantly know what weapon configuration to use, it had clear patterns that were easy to avoid but they put some emphasis of maintaing distance and good positioning + I liked that the drones did not heal the boss, they just gave him armor.

since the drones gave the robot boss armor, wouldn't it be good to use corrosive weapons on it??
