you need to spend 8 hours killing 99999 bad guys to get a single measly skill point now.
i honestly don't mind any of the other changes the patch made, but this one change almost ruined the game for me.
"Future updates "will include new missions and an ultra-hard challenge mode alongside new weapons, items, and co-op ninja characters," the studio said. "

This could be it. Who knows. We don't have this update yet. We just have a patch. Did anyone read this? This could be very well the reason for the skill point drop.
I don't think anyone read up on this, if there's this much complaining
But it mentions bugs. Like Jorkfriend said, you getting skillpoints in the fabled "NG+" everyone thinks we have was actually a bug. You were never supposed to get them in the first place. Whatever this challenge mode is might be that NG+...and it might give skill points for rewards. (on top of regular XP from enemies.)
If that really is the case, how typical, people just going straight to the complaining. (Not nessecarily pointing at you.) It's literally right there on the news section for the game on Steam.
Either way, bug or not, it made the game more enjoyable. It wasn't an endless grindfest that the current system is.
