did 2 of the side quests involving sex tapes. 2 sidequests, 1 hour of playtime, 12 level ups.
I mean i don't mind, but it does seem a bit fast.
Wow.
I'm currently playing T2 Insane (or at least the one recommended for level 31+), and I managed to gain only 3 levels in an hour. Mind you, I'm probably not as skilled or well-built as you...
In this case, the game could totally be made more interesting if an (optional) karma gain slider was added, at least for Insane/No Pain No Gain. Maybe even include additional mutators that can modify the game so that you can finetune the game's endgame difficulty in exchange for better/worse loot.
nah, i don't grind in games. this is my first playthrough and i'm just doing what i do with every game, play all the missions and sidequests till story mode ends and I move on to the next game.
that's why I was surprised how it changed with this last patch. i'll switch on to t2 next time I play, maybe i'll start dying again and losing karma.
Just... give it a rest guys. If you don't want the extra skillpoints, just don't use them. It's nice having some sort of progress again without having to constantly use vanish or specc life leech, as the 100% Karma penalty on insane isn't exactly motivating.
This ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up "but that's too easy"-mindset for singleplayer game is just irritating. Nobody's playing an MMO, and nobody's too keen on losing 25 minutes worth of exp just because they get stuck on a rock and subsequently get killed.
The issue is that once you hit 96 there is not much motivation to play the game any further. As someone mentioned above if the developers want the lvl curve in such a fast way there need to be some kind of d3 like paragon system implented. Otherwise I don't see how anyone is playing the game in a few weeks.
Hunting for gems alone is not worth the time with the limited amount of money we get. The gems who drop are trash(ilvl wise) and you don't get enough money to craft more than a few gems per run.
Not to mention that there is currently no real way to get blue gems over ilvl ~100 which are needed for Ryuken. So 95% of the gems I get are useless.
And people don't need constant pop ups and progression to play. WTNO let you unlock every perk in like 2 playthroughs max and it worked perfectly fine. "Playing for months" amounts to nothing more than artificially increased playtime to prevent you from getting to endgame.
But hey, if all they do is make it grindier and grindier, then I'm gonna Cheat Engine more and more.
Then your solution shouldn't be to make the game worse for other people just because you did grind out. I'm sure it's not hardto make a second counter that goes up instead of levels after 96, to keep people happy.
Yep. I like the ARPG elements, but unless you are going with Insanity T2 and onwards they aren't nearly as pronounced. You can just build a few weapons and update their gems every few missions and have a blast.
MMO's suffer from this top 5% problem all the time. Where you have people pouring their life into a game (that's fine, you dedicate time how you want) and become so strong that they will start to constantly complain and ask for things specifically for them. Since these people never will see the early game again, they won't notice the balance problems they cause.
