How do I vanish?

I do not need it, but I want to do 50 for the achievement.

When I cast Vanish, enemies turn yellow but I am still visible, they attack.

I tried stealth, approaching from behind, hiding in a cave, casting it, yellow enemies, I killed them, but my counter is still at 0/50. I have the skill maxed and used lots of Vanish gems in whatever I could but it still does not work.

Please tell me what I am doing wrong here.

However, just now managed to get 1/50. I did not realise you can only hit the enemy once.
Second hit, he knows.

I just need to beat him to within an inch of his life, cast Vanish, one strike, dead. That counts.

you do not need to hold down the button, just tap once. After you turned into vanish mode you can kill the enemys with any special attack. I prefer sting. One hit and they die :)

The longer you hold it the longer you are invisible, and go invisible while still holding it. Depending on build, it's repeatable forever. If you just want it for the achivement, and don't have a setup, copy your [1] folder and make a [2] out of it, run that build on easy mode, or just run an easy multiplayer. Make sure you make a backup save of it!

You can full charge a special melee attack while vanished, you only get bonus damage from one hit though so make it count.

Thanks all! This helped. I also noticed that it helps not to have a DOT elemental on your weapon because the enemy might die just before he turns yellow. I am at 15/50 atm, getting there.
