It's that piece of ♥♥♥♥ medallion? What the hell.
I would have hoped the reward at the end of a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 4 part quest would have at least been something useful.
yep, that very one. I used it a couple of times to test it out its effect, and didn't really notice much of a difference. it could be useful early on, but if you have melee and firearms' damage output stacked through the roof (and Vanish effects stacked just as if not higher), you'll be speed-killing everything rather quickly. Especially since you get the Nobitsura Kage replica from that "Wang in the Box" Christmas Event.
which is why I recommend using either the "Dominator" and/or the "Hand of the Reincarnation", as those are the 2 most strongest medallions in the entire game.
The Deus Ex Machina of the first game is pulled in early to keep returning players invested in the game and is dangled as a carrot. But the plot for it resolves at such an early point in the game that you literally cannot turn it into something with a justifiable level of power without making it overpowered for the remainder of the game.
And rather than fix that ill-conceived prequel hook's bad progression pacing, the developers add poor excuses and poor writing.
Don't care if "it lost all its power"
Don't care if "that's the best we could do, given circumstance"
That sword deserved better.
well to be fair, that Arm-of-Orochi sword you get at the end of the "Violent Takeover" mission is a pretty badass weapon, since it's effects acted exactly like the Nobitsura Kage.
But of course, some d*ckhead players practically ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and whined on here about the weapon being too overpowered, hence why the first patch that got released nerfed its Force Slash damage from 100% to 33%.
But I really think that the guys at Flying Wild Hog should take the suggestion to heart, on rebuffing the Arm-of-Orochi's Force Slash damage slightly to around at least 50%
