I guess, Vulkan is more for low/mid GPUs segment where every thing that can boost FPS counts. Not top 500-700$ graphics card.
Still, I approve of proper Vulkan support.
it's short for "maybe"
vulkan is like openGL
and by the way vulkan not that good on DOOM the texture rendering (texture pop is lot worser) is not that great and also there few hic ups on fps too
im better of runing open GL on DOOM
i dont know its newer cpu's like the 7xxxK intel will work better on vulkan
Anyway i would try the vulcan option if it were available. I can never disagree with a faster frame rate; it often means I can enable more detail or set up resolution to be higher.
I have a 4k screen that I can not play too many games at the native resolution; 2560 is about as high as I can go without needing to dial stuff back.
I also would want to see a competitor to direct x get more use; just like I like it when AMD comes out with a good CPU and GPU offering to drive the prices down of the intel and nvidia offerings.
Sometimes you need a competitor you have no intention of ever using, to make what you prefer more affordable to you.
