Major Problem In Game

Okay, so I started as hamlet, turned to orphela, and got to the book inside the book. Then I chose the option where Cladius pretends the book is about reality and you go back to hamlet. Then I repeated those steps agian, and yet the game doesn't aknoledge it. I feel cheated.

In what way does it not acknowledge it? If you do exactly the same as you did before, are you expecting the game to tell you "Hey, you already did this!" ?
