Can't build space structures or units
Started happening at the end of a NR campaign, now it's happening at the start of a Hapes campaign. Is anyone else experiencing this? The build menus for political, stations, and ships are just blank. All I can build are ground units/structures.

If you're playing Thrawn's Revenge, it's the result of a framework crash. Only thing you can do is start a new game or reload an old save.

That kinda sucks, but thanks for the info!

Uninstalled, reinstalled. By cycle 70 the same thing happened. Guess I'm not playing Hapes.

I hope this doesn't happen with all the factions.

Framework crashes are both common and rare at the same time. Some people get them regularly and some people never encounter them at all.

According to the mod team it can be hardware dependent but I couldn't tell you why exactly.

Forgive my extreme ignorance, but I have no idea what framework crashes are. I have tried on different galaxy size and am about to try with a different faction.

I don't know if this is a stupid question, but Hapes is the only faction I have found myself radically changing ground structures (i.e. selling some to build others to achieve mission goals, clearing space for more ground unit production, selling immediately after winning mission goals, etc.).

Would that make any difference?

EAWX mods use a custom built framework for all of their scripting and plugin needs. This includes simple things like handling their build bar filters to larger gameplay mechanics such as the Hapes House Favor system and Imperial Legitimacy mechanics.

The framework is built into just about everything, so when it crashes for any given reason it takes everything else down with it. There's no method of restarting the framework once it has crashed. You can only reload an earlier save and hope it that whatever is causing it to crash isn't consistent enough to proc reliably at a given point.

As for what can cause it to break... That's a hard one as there are a lot of moving parts and any one of them could be the culprit. In my experience selling buildings and then building new ones in their place hasn't been an issue. I am not a dev though and so can only really guess at what might be causing it.

I still don't have a good handle on the framework thing, but the update didn't fix it. I did sell a few ground buildings again, so I guess I should really do a playthrough where I don't do that to make sure it isn't the problem. Still had failure to build space units/structures at about the same point in the game.
