Can I play multiplayer using Hamachi?

Thinking of buying this,but only if I can play with my friend.

Yeah, I believe you can. Though I cant find that out until I "Find" a friend to test it out with. Plus Star Wars Empire at War is a pretty fun game. Just got to get the feeling of 2006 or so and it shall be fun lol. Also check out these mods out if you do plan to buy this. "Thawrns Revange" and Foc something.

You can, but you shouldn't. Hamachi is trash. Use GameRanger instead.

It says right in the description that network play is no longer available. Unless that doesnt include LAN games then you wont be able to play with friends.

How is he lying? it says it in the product description that the multiplayer shutdown in may.

Hamachi and GameRanger both simulate LAN so it can be played with both. I would honestly recommend GameRanger more.

Online multiplayer through Gamespy was shut down. LAN multiplayer (and thus services that simulate LAN play, like GameRanger, still work.

You CAN use Hamachi, but GameRanger is specifically designed for games and has customized settings for each game. It works much better than Hamachi, although you will have to deal with ads once in a while. I'm trying to get more EAW players on GameRanger so we can get more active games going.

I was looking at gameranger not to long ago. I think I'd be interested into doing this myself.

Gameranger doesn't work with mods. Hamachi does yet I don't know how to get it to work.
