LAN on FOC and EAW using Evolve but not showing Lobbies...

As the title says.
-Both my friend and I own the Gold Edition game through steam.
-We both have firewalls off.
-Same version.
-Evolve pings properly and works on other games for us.

We were able to play a few days ago using Evolve however starting today we can't see eachother hosting a match in LAN.

No settings have changed.

We've both unistalled and reinstalled Evolve and Verified Empire at War cache. No change.

Does anyone know a solution to all this? I spend a good hour trying to find a fix on various forums but nobody seems to have a similar issue.

No, Evolve as in the VPN linking software.

(I updated the intial post, I forgot a game was just in Alpha with the same title and undrstand how it could be confusing with the way I worded things. My bad.)

Try using something else Gameranger is what i use mostly and have no issues :)

Tried it on Tunngle and GameRanger, neither worked for us.

I have looked eeply into this issue myself, and have a question for you. Do your friends own retail or steam copies of the game?

It says in the OP that they both own the Steam versions.


Not sure what could be causing your issue other than closed ports. If you haven't already, trying forwarding them.

Actually, something popped into mind. I have no idea if it affects LAN, but make sure in the game's network settings you are both in the same region.

Gamespy shut down a long-ass time ago, and Gamespy was the primary host for the game.

It doesn't matter that Gamespy shut down. LAN isn't affected,

Discovered the issue last week, game doesn’t like anything modded in the Campaigns folder. (I added a galactic conquest map) Reinstalled the game and it works fine over LAN now.
