seemingly random defeat in galactic conquest
What are the victory/defeat conditions in galactic conquest? I've lost a couple times while controlling every planet's space and nearly all the ground bases as well. Is there a max amount of turns you can play before losing?

You need to control everything. And yes, there is a deadline.

I believe only some of the galactic conquest maps have deadlines. Check the objectives of your map to be sure (they are given at the beginning but you may have simply clicked OK and gotten on with the game).

A deadline?? That would seriously suck. XD

In such quests, they usually give you around 60 days. It's not that unreasonable, but it's still there.
Some maps in Galactic Conquest have a set timer with a set objective to achieve before set timer expires. If set objective has not been achieved when the timer expires it results in a loss for the player.

While others have unlimited time, with these victory and lose conditions:

Victory conditions:

EaW:

If playing as the Empire: death of Mon Mothma or if the Alliance is removed from the galaxy.

If playing as the Rebel Alliance: death of Palpatine, destruction of the Deathstar or if the Empire is removed from the galaxy.

FoC:

As any faction: total control of the map and removal of both opposing factions.

Lose conditions:

EaW:

If playing as the Empire: death of Palpatine results in a loss, destruction of the Deathstar results in a loss or loss of the map results in a loss.

If playing as the Rebel Alliance: death of Mon Mothma results in a loss or loss of the map results in a loss.

FoC:

If playing as the Zann Consortium: death of Tyber Zann results in a loss.

As any faction: any of the opposing factions gains total control of the map.

If my memory serves me correctly.
