I am not exactly sure if it has to auto-click in order to work.
There's no other way to get to multiplayer without Gameranger clicking the menu buttons for you non-manually.
It works totally fine with FOC & regular EAW everytime.
I even tried doing it manually (Main Menu>Multiplayer>Options) just as I saw it do before in EAW in the past, but there's no way you can get past the "Options" menu under the "Multiplayer" button.
Really not sur ewhat's going on here, if it's maybe the mod itself, as in other mods might work, or if GR doesn't support any mods at all just regular EAW & FOC or what..
Custom maps don't work for EAW/FOC in multiplayer for GR, so not sure if it's just because it's not 100% FOC or EAW, or what..
Anyone know?
How is there no other way? All gameranger does is take you to the Lan Lobby... you can manually click that. Options? It goes to the Lan Lobby, not "options"
I know how to get to LAN, but the LAN I'm able to go to is only local hosts & stuff.
The lobby it brings you to with EAW/FOC is totally different than the LAN lobby you're able to manually go to.. :/
Perhaps the lobbies are different. However, it takes you to the LAN lobby. How do you think VPN software works... it works through LAN... it does not take you to a "different version of what the lobbys were like" it takes you to to the Lan lobby that is now running through Gameranger's interent adapter to simulate online play through local servers. Explain to me then why programs such as Tunngle (that do not automatically take you to the Lan server) allow online multiplayer gameplay for EaW?
My point is, Gameranger takes you to the Lan Lobby... which you can manually do yourself.
